F-14 IRAF and Fakour 90

A faster phoenix is not ruining games, it’s gross incompetence in the form of players being too stupid to turn that is ruining games.

It is, you clearly do not play the BR. Fakours are extremely easy to get kills with and extremely easy to die to depending on aircraft. You yourself lack the skill to make this judgement call.

Dont forget making BOL IRL performance as well

Whatever you say dude

I’m not wrong. In fact the only reason you’re saying these things is likely because you own said jet. (you have very little experience in the game)

I have zero intention to ever bring the tomcat out for more than the 4 matches I already have in it.

The F90s are symptoms, but not the root cause, remove the F90s and people still die to AIM-54s because they don’t know how to dodge them. I have a massive skill issue and can still dodge F90s and AIM-54s consistently, if someone is incapable of doing that they must be fresh off the lobotomy table.

I mostly concur, a few issue here and there that make F-90s and Aim-54s annoying to deal with in ARB. But none are the fault of either missile. (like map design/layout for ARB)

rarely do I get killed by either missile. Im personally having most issue with teh R-27ERs at the moment.

No, very much no. You can’t act like the phoenix = the fakour. I do not die to phoenixes. I CAN die to fakours strictly down to how much faster they are. They sometimes give as little as 4-6 seconds of RWR warning and if I’m already in a head on aspect I am dead. That even assumes your radar CAN SEE them which is not always the case.

Nah, downplaying their effectiveness here, the fakours.

iriaf is a 1 trick pony f14B has better engines and all its other missiles are better even the other missiles for f14A are better the iriaf aim7eii and aim9p

I am speaking on both being used in air RB, F-14A IRIAF is overall superior even if both were 13.0 just down to the fakour occupying a strong niche while the F-14B secures zero niches. F-14B still has bad IR/SARH for 13.0 so it doesn’t matter that they’re better in this department. Fakours are just better for the tomcat as a platform.

Bro cant even read, smh
“If you are going into a dogfight, the afterburners would help only in situations when you have to build up speed for another circle. And the time to make it is much less than the time it takes for them tp “cool down””

Disregard, I forgot this thread is about arcade ultimately

As i said already, if your ab runs out before the dogfight, you wouldnt need it at the first circle either way, you would have enough energy to comperhand your enemy’s moves, yet later on, on f.e. flankers, the energy runs out, but for that time you would already have the afterburners all ready.

Sometimes - yeah, this particular feature can fail you and the ab will turn off in the time u dont wanna. But like… To solve this, you literally need to manage your thrust manually - think of when its appropriate or not to use the afterburner.

bruh. I dont even know qhat to say. What plane are you using to dogfight so u use the ab just as you started to turn? aardvark with his complete loadout? Any top tier fighter can do at least one turn without it, lol. And again, its about how you use it. If you will spend your ab time just to fly closer to the target and then all of a sudden it will cut out in the most important moment, its not the fault of an ab, i would say.

If we’re talking about something heavier - then yes, the ab could be used at the first circle, i can’t say anything here.

unfortunately

Oh, I see, nvm

Yup, totally

I’ve had 2 instances in the last 3 days where I was scrolling on my phone flying into battle and been so close to a Fakour I could see the missile diamond and still had time to dodge them. A hard pull with 6-10 pops of chaff and they’re gone.

They have range and are fast but are only as lethal as the player lets them be
