I assume you’re not too fast for bomb release, no?
As I mentioned, some maps have issues with the elevation of the base not matching the elevation of the CCRP point, so the bombs do not release. This I observe exclusively with bases at high altitudes, so Afghanistan ad north of the Vietnam map.
However, this only is an issue if you “toggle” through targets, but if you adjust / fine aim the target point using a targeting pod, or when you designate the target manually on the map, or using the sight, that issue isn’t there.
Ok, strange. Guess I’ll try it out also tonight. So far never had issues with the F-111 and exactly the method you describe, but haven’t flown any F-111 in a while, admittedly…
Anyway as I know, the problem might be with maps like Vietnam, Afghanistan, and sometimes Sinai. When you at 5000 meters then should be OK, but you have to choose map with low altitude airfields.
Every time I bring up the bug report topic, it gets closed. I’ve written directly to the technical moderator a few times and have gotten a response and even help a few times. But then no response to subsequent requests to review the report.
Sometimes I get the impression that there aren’t enough moderators who deal with bugs in air simulations. Or maybe they don’t even want to deal with some reports, the ones about bombing?
