F-101C needs to go down to 9.0, is the least you could do if you are not going to add its AIM-4, it is crazy that the MiG-21 SPS-K has access to R-60 and countermeasures and it is siting at 9.7. it’s so crazy, that thing should be 10.3.
Is understandable that maybe the YaK-38 with 4xR-60 be at 9.3 because it has a terrible flight performance even though I think YaK-38 should be moved to 9.7, but a MiG-21 at 9.7 with R-60 and countermeasures is so crazy…
Now F-101C has no secundary weaponry, no bombs, no rockets, no AAM, no AGM, no Napalm just a terrible flight performance that at sea level cannot go supersonic I do not see how is it fair that F-101C be at 9.3 when F3H with 4xAIM-9B or 2xAIM-9B + 2xAIM-7C be at 9.0; F3H-2 should be 9.3…
This BR compression is so weird but it seems gaijin doesn’t care to fix it anytime soon or anytime later cause it is been like this too many years.
I’m just really dissapointed with the devs priorities and game direction.
When I think of the MiG-19’s at 9.3, a jet that does about everything the F-101C can do but better, while having one of the best FM for dogfighting, it is very apparent the F-101C is just blatantly overtiered
Aim-4s are trash due to lack of proxy, won’t hit anything but a bomber. Any fighter can defeat aim-4 through breathing alone. It’s also a missile carried by the F-101B, not C.
R-60s bolted on a sausage with doritos for wings.
Russian one gets no cms. German one sacrifice guns for cm pod.
So does some other dedicated gun fighters of this br.

Frankly, just play the F-100D if you want a 9.3 jet fighter. Or play the F8U2 instead.
Even though the AIM-4 lacks a proximity fuze, the F-106A—which sits at the same BR—doesn’t suffer for it; the missiles are just more complex to use, but it genuinely provides a window of opportunity to get kills.
I have scored kills with AIM-4G and AIM-4F many times.
yak 38 is probably the worst 9.3 jet its only buff is its missile which is mid its a R60, but it has frontal heat sig making everything ALL ASPECT against its probably one of the worst if not the worst 9.3s

F101 is just a bit worse than mig 19 but it turns better and is snappier theres also a mig 19 same br with only guns
unfortunately due to no proxy fuze AIM-4 is almost useless and has very narrow window to work and it dumps all its speed quickly so AIM-9B and R3S are way better
also the C ingame cant historically carry it due to it being a C model
You can’t really compare MiG-19 performance with F-101C performance; F-101C is so unstable and aiming is harder, it has a poor stabilization so it is really far to be called a good dogfighter or even decent, while MiG-19PT is a lot more better in its flight performance and roll stabilization than F-101C and MiG-19S is way much better than MiG-19PT
F-106 players don’t carry missiles because AIM-4s are so bad that they are dead weight and barely worth taking them.
They don’t have a proxy fuse, they bleed speed like crazy, the rocket burns for a very short time and will lose lock if a leaf even flies in front it it.
Only 2 scenarios F-106 MAY use them, use radar version for headon and even then it is barely more convinient than your M61 OR when both you and your opponent are stalled you can snap the IR variant on it and pray it doesn’t fly by it or simply fall short.
Add them to the F-101, it won’t do much except MAYBE make killing of Tu-95s easier but even then the missile will still miss

Im in a damn supersonic plane that will easily pull AOA for the shot, I just close the damn gap and use my M61.
Sure im kind of ass but even then trying to use the AIM-4 is not worth the time when F-106 simply allows you to close in pull as much as you want to and obliterate your enemy.
