With multispaa you can’t target friendly. They just want excuses not to implement it
and even then. Even after all that. If it was still a major concern. Just limit the search area of the mode 3. Sure, still allow LOAL, but it would be like firing a GNSS weapon, maybe you’ll get lucky, but most of the time you’ll want to fire at a target before hand, then the missile will just find it if its within a small radius of the IOG target
At the end of the day, GNSS weapons can be lobbed randomly around map and can kill teammates. So… Im not really sure what the issue there would be (Heck a certain nation, IRL, did this not that long ago…)

This is literally a killer argument that can’t be countered. Multispectral/dipole smoke technology, if I’m not mistaken, isn’t exactly high-tech by today’s standards, and almost all tanks from the 1980s+ can use it. I think the main reason is the lack of similar technology among major nations.
even if its not used by everything. Im sure the same could probably be said about smoke that blocks IR and I think all smoke in-game (thats not ESS) does that even WW2 era smoke
yeah, they just normalised IR Obscurant for all smoke grenades/shells
Why cant they just normalise the Chaff in multispec smoke?
they only bend or break their own rules when they want. I would rather them just say they don’t want to add or fix something instead of coming up with weak arguments that don’t hold up to scrutiny.
Aiming points now work with Paveway IVs, kinda cool actually. Clunky mechanic though, got a long post in progress for ways to improve it. Ive got a lot of ideas.
The most likely reason behind it is that they can’t be bothered coupled with early opposition from certain larger playerbases (however you wish to read that descriptor, probably correct). I suspect we’ll see it addressed in the not too distant future now that certain parties are handicapped by their early opposition.
The worst part of the mechanic is how many bloody binds I need to get it working.

Spherical as it’s provided by the RWR in Praetorian DASS, and the update rate is instant as it’s not mechanically scanning.
