The disappointment i feel from this image is indescribable…

I do wish ARMs were more useful across the board.

Been my experience with nigh all of them. Only one I haven’t had this issue with is kh25, but you’re so close that it’d be a miracle for it to fail.

Doesnt help with the convoys are also protected by sidams and such. I wish it were shilkas and zsu 37-2. Would make for some fun dodging ir sams in air rb instead of dying to sidams you cant detect or forget about due to no rwr pings.

Sidam, destroyer of worlds 😿

Just saw that the armats cover d band :). Guess ill just go use them as you can actually bring them into 11.3 ground and are found on jets who do not suck BALLS in a dog fight.

Hey, the tornado’s a good aircraft. For 11.3.

10.3 u mean, the old fm was better for dog fighting as you actually had an idea about energy retention. At the minute you could look over your shoulder and dump enough speed to fall out the sky.

Was actually able to fight f14s in the gr.1 lol.

Also, am i the only person not getting the built up rp thing? ive used the mirage 2k extensively after spading it and yet it didnt give me the armat after a game with 3 kills?

Still holds its own pretty alright if you ditch everything but AAMs.

And yeah, not had this built up thing happen at all.

Not on any map thats slightly above sea level. Tried to reverse an f14 and he had time to do a loop before i had even gotten my nose back down…

Germans and their limp-noodle marketing screws us again…

Its honestly vomit inducing how bad NATO ESM is in-game compared to RU/CN ESM. By compairison, its borderline unusable.

I mean, can we call the HARM seeker realy ESM in the 1st?

I just wish the scan rates were quicker, they are SOOOO slow at the minute.

not the russian and chinese scan rates! They’re literally 20x faster (0.5s vs 10s)

And if you go with volumetric scan rate, its even higher than 20x, since they scan 60x60deg while the HARM only scans 20x25deg, and HTS scans 60x25deg.

So RU/CN ESM have a v.scan rate of 7200deg/s^2 vs HARM’s 50deg/s^2 and HTS’ 150deg/s^2, putting the v.scan rate of RU/CN ESM at 48x higher than the best ESM NATO currently has access to in-game, and 144x what most NATO jets that even “have” ESM have…

Which is funny because sensor fusion should be a thing → instantly locating (and even lock-on via LOAL outside of the missile seeker FoV AFAIK) threats via RWR in a 360° manner ^^

Something I don’t really get: Shouldn’t it only be nessecary to scan a field passively with ESM if you use a very directed antenna for this job? Usually at least three independent undirected broadband high-gain antennas (e.g. spiral antennas as they’re used in the DASS as RWR sensors AFAIK) do the job much better because it’s not needed to “scan” the FoV but just wait for an incoming signal and triangulate the direction by reception time discrepancy between these three antennas.

I’m tired boss.
A whole new propulsion have been made up for kh-31 this patch.
But we - europeasants can’t even get a crumb of that attention to our stuff.
Brimstone butchered.
ALARM underimplemented.
ESM sucks.
Missile count is low.

Stratus LO was primarily a British need, while RS was French need. Hopefully, both nations will acquire both variants, as it would definitely help economy of scale

meteor mlu is dead ? At least for UK.

While not referenced in the 30 June spending report, a senior defence official confirms that the UK will no longer support a mid-life upgrade for MBDA’s Meteor beyond-visual-range air-to-air missile.

Interesting. A few weeks ago a French report was still mentioning the MLU to enter service in 2030, along side the Comet (with next to nothing known about it).
The end of the funding from the British might impact the project development

I’m really looking forward to seeing where this will be mounted. It would be great if it could be carried on the currently empty pylons. It would be disappointing if it were mutually exclusive with the MRAAMs.
