Eurofighter Typhoon - Germany's Best Fighter Jet

Already was by gunjob… bols being wrong is simply known fact and reality that wont probably change as it would totally screw anything russian.
They could be also used on F-15s.

Is there any other close-up on the in-flight EFTs airframe number? Cause either I am going full schizo, or I can see a XX-28 there, and that’d leave the door open for a T1 jet (GS 30 + 28).

I think he was asking about the radar not BOL

Oh right, not really, given i have it from manual, both the gimbal and what priority track is - it cant work without antenna being quick AF.

That’s a 7, and number two would be too short

and either a 2 or a 3.

but the cosmetic appearance really doesnt matter

Indeed, could a R-73 situation all over again, were e.g. AASM are also just for cinematic purposes (“for now”).

I’ve watched the Teaser at least 10 times by now and looked at all key frames in regards to EFT and Rafale; I am pretty sure is no other moment were you could (clearly) see the ID or assume its a different one other than XY+37.
(I’ve a 1440p monitor, didn’t really help with the resolution of the Teaser and key frames…)

What major differences would it make?

Eurofighter-SMT. Bruh. I will see it in my nightmares

I wonder if they’ll model the difference in MAWS between the EFT (PD radar) and Rafale (IR) as well.

Rafale looks like its MAWS could have some serious blindspots below the aircraft due to the mounting location of the IR detector.

But EFT might not be able to hide its location by shutting off its radar in sim due to the radars constantly looking for threats. Its coverage is superior tho, and it should work even in clouds, unlike the Rafales system.

IRST as a modification hopefully, it’s like the only jet that has it either installed/uninstalled, it’s not fixed with the aircraft

On the grounds that the Gr7 still has a F-111A Placeholder UV MAWS and not a PD MAWS. I dont think it massively likely.

But hopefully with the new aircraft, it might get fixed.

Highly doubt they will model a PD MAWS, let alone allow it to give off seperate radar emissions, this is war thunder not DCS

MWS can be turned off. each radar individually. you can do all off, all on, front only, rear only, front right only, front left only or a combination of them…

WT has more accurate/complex modelling for stuff like IR signatures, and likely would be able to do a better job with radar if they/the community wanted them to (theres still a very VERY vocal group of the community that hates everything radar).

Also, idk if most RWR’s would even be able to pickup the Eurofighters MAWS anyways, being somewhere in the 32-38GHz range puts it in K-band.

Theres a whole 4 RWR’s currently in-game that hit K-band (L-150 surprisingly???, AN/APR-39A and AN/APR-39A(V1), and SkyGuardian 200)

I wonder, what bands can the EF RWR detect?

Good way to die unexpectedly tho…

Do we know the rough range of the PD MAW?

Depends on missiles radar signature, no clue of the exact range or even any approximate figures, maybe someone else knows.

Pretty good
