Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC)

Lately, the gameplay experience has been severely degraded due to a noticeable increase in cheaters/hackers. It is becoming increasingly difficult to enjoy the game when basic fair play is compromised.

The current implementation of Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) feels insufficient against the newer tools these players are using (such as wallhacks, auto-aim, and ESP). It ruins the competitive spirit and makes the grind feel unrewarding.

Please consider upgrading, patching, or introducing stricter measures regarding the anti-cheat system. The community loves this game, but we need a fair environment to keep playing and supporting it.

Thanks for the correction! My mistake, I lost track of the switch to BattlEye. However, the point still stands – whatever anti-cheat they are currently using, it clearly needs better optimization or an upgrade, because the amount of cheaters is still ruining the game.

Here is some info on how the anti cheat works: ( Anti-Cheat, Privacy, and Fair Play: Clarifying the Facts )

Here is the post with the latest ban wave info: ( [Fair Play] Fair Play: June 2026 ) (usually released once a month, here they are sorted from newest post to oldest: Search results for 'fair play #official-news-and-information in:title order:latest_topic' - War Thunder — official forum )

Many times when players think someone else is cheating they actually aren’t. I always recommend looking at the server replay (found on the main War Thunder website) from the perspective of the player you are suspecting before making a judgement. Many times it just looked like something odd because of de-synk/lag or you not knowing about a mechanic.

If you still think they are doing something that breaks the rules then report them using the Server Replay Report function and write the times of the replay where you think something odd happened. A guide on how to create a correct report for each issue can be found here: (How to properly report players and contact Game Masters!). Please note that some issues cannot be reported using the in-game complaint system as the reports won’t contain the necessary logs to investigate.

Thank you for the explanation and for the links, Necronomica. I completely understand that lag, de-sync, or a lack of map awareness can sometimes look suspicious, and I always try to check the server replays before making assumptions.

However, the main issue is that many cheaters are not even trying to hide it. There are videos on social media and TikTok from the previous season (like this one: https://www.tiktok.com/@regelebriceag/video/7626479420739554582), where players were openly bragging about and promoting the use of cheats. Back then, the game was practically unplayable because of this.

This is exactly why the community is so frustrated. It is clearly not just a de-sync issue; these blatant ESP and aim-assist tools have been actively ruining the experience for a while, often going undetected during live matches.

I will make sure to use the Server Replay function to report specific players properly when I encounter them. That being said, I truly hope Gaijin continues to aggressively upgrade and adapt the anti-cheat system, as cheat developers are constantly finding new ways around it. Thanks again for the clarification!

I’ve been saying this for awhile… even predicted the last DDos attack. I was told I was wrong, etc etc.

And guess what? It happened.

They likely somewhat enjoy banning accounts, which then buy more premiums to just get banned again.

I agree the anti cheat has some holes, and there is a certain region of the world known to be massive cheaters… region lock would be a true W.

You’ve told me this before. I have yet to be wrong about my “hunches” and even confirm them in the server replay after.
Then within a few hours to a day later I get a “thank you for your report, we acted on it”

Maybe I’m a magnet for them? Not sure. But it’s super annoying.

It’s worse during events, SL crates, or good battle passes.

Like I said before. Just give us Region lock. If you have over 120 ping, on a different server, you cannot play on that server.

You hit the nail on the head. This whole loop of banning accounts only for them to buy more premiums reminds me so much of Wargaming. I actually stopped playing World of Tanks because of the developers’ greed and the constant cheating issues, but it seems Gaijin is not any different.

They use the exact same corporate logic—creating a frustrating environment, ignoring the core issues, and profiting off the endless grind and new accounts. The idea of a region lock or ping lock is a massive W, but unfortunately, as long as the money keeps rolling in from these premium sales, they have very little incentive to actually fix it.

Exactly! The fact that you consistently get those “we acted on your report” notifications just proves that your “hunches” are right and that the in-game situation is out of control. It shouldn’t be the players’ job to act as full-time moderators and manually hunt down cheaters through server replays just to have a fair match.

You are 100% right about events and battle passes—that’s when the sweat and the cheats peak because the FOMO kicks in. The 120 ping limit on different servers is honestly the most logical solution proposed yet. It would filter out a massive chunk of the problem instantly. Respect to you for actually doing the replay work, but we shouldn’t have to.
