We keep fighting cheaters using your reports and the anti-cheat systems, and as usual, today we’re sharing a bit of info on bans that we’ve distributed over the past month. If you’d like to help keep War Thunder free from cheating, you can find out how to file a report and how our anti-cheat system works on our Wiki.
Banned accounts
Since our last fair play update, we have banned 2,880 accounts that were found to have violated the rules, specifically paragraph 3.2.3 of the EULA, namely the automation of gameplay (use of bots) and cheat software.
Additionally, 44 temporary bans were issued for violating paragraph 3.2.4 of the EULA. These violations included colluding with the opposing team to repeatedly capture zones and/or profiting from mutual damage without the intention of engaging in combat.
Furthermore, 428 accounts were banned for a week or longer for intentional teamkilling and griefing, including 14 permanent bans.
Finally, 30,365 accounts involved in referral system fraud, en-masse multi-accounting or both have been permanently banned.
For complete transparency, we will publish the full list of permanently banned players. This list will be available for two weeks following the publication of this article.
Recommendations
We recommend that you set a strong password for your account and enable two-step authentication in your profile security settings. We have the following 2FA options available: email, SMS, TOTP (Gaijin Pass/Google Authenticator).
We’d also suggest that you turn on 2FA for the email that is linked to your Gaijin account for additional security, as this will protect your account from fraudsters. And remember, don’t use prohibited client modifications and never share your account information with anyone.
I am not sure how often i used these Fair Play threads trying to draw your attention on specific players using the gamertag “Task Force”.
I even reported them multiple times in the past - but i stopped this as soon as i realized that this reporting is just a waste of time as there are zero consequences. Otherwise i would have not met this player/these players over and over again.
you will see a player without manual input (in a 3.7 PBJ = strike B-25) flying low and straight towards our main airfield. The bot script is ultra simple. Flying low to lure fighters diving on them and kill them with aced ai gunners. In order to save time the script is able to locate the enemy airfield - goal is to get killed by af aaa if not attacked in order to ensure switching to another match quite fast.
In this match his ai gunners killed 2 of my A6M2 fighter mates - even as they were highly experienced they made the mistake to attack the PB j from behind. He even damaged a Ki-61 before the af aaa murdered him. I kindly ask you to talk to the guys in charge for the crew skill stats - everybody knows that the stated firing range of ~ 200 meters is a lie (it is 660 meters) - otherwise this guy would not have scored 4,000 player kills in 14,500 matches…
" My cat’s pet hamsters younger cousin scared the gnome that lives in my PC case and he accidentally hit my CPU with his head and downloaded something without me knowing! "
And the guy I reported for blatantly cheated is still not banned. Lovely. Great Anticheat department Gaijin, just continue targeting low level accounts only and forget the high level accounts.
You did not even checked the account levels we banned, right? You are just upset because someone, you report is not banned (yet?).
Please do not create false narrative here. Cheaters are getting banned no matter the level, money spend or hair colour.
If you reported someone who is breaking the rules and the report was valid, he will be banned, no worries.
Thanks for the reports!
Next hall of shame vlog should also include a list of banned players who abuse the report button lol like those idiots who simply flags anybody who killed them. It should be punishable bro people needs to hold accountable for things they do.
