Most of this br suffers from compression issues.
Lots of planes are too low due to poor player performance. Such as: The A5, or bis ish.
However, there are planes that suffer from player over performance that are no longer good. Such as: Venom, Shenyang, Yak 30, 163 or Ki 200.
Along with some random Gaijin balance. The F25/35 sabres should be 8.7 too.
Or, the Lim/PF should be 9.0.
That’s probably one the most blatant p2w premiums in the whole game, a mig 15 bis at 8.0 while the MD452 C is 8.3, yeah ok gaijin. Ties into your player overperformance point quite nicely actually!
It’s not quite a 15bis but it gets much closer to a 15bis than a standard 15, and it’s definitely p2w
I assume the weird pylons increase weight a bit so you’re right, I was under the impression that they were cosmetic and the stats were just copy pasted. Anyway I kind of understand why it’s at 8.0 from the few bis ish players I’ve met in game, they’re all terrible and I imagine that the average bis ish user dragged down the jet all the way down + major nation so it rakes in a ton of money on sales and events etc
Its a drag increase. Otherwise, all performance is identical.

What justifies 8.0 is that it’s premium and money is life
Ngl if they ever revert the changes and also get the base mig 17 to 9.0 the lim5 and shenyang could probably be 9.3. They’re so good at almost everything, and even get pretty close to catching a scimitar if you give them enough time.
I did most of the air tree with shenyang f5 and problem is the other 9.3 are just too good for their rating. When fighting 9.0 and below I didn’t have issues and it felt fair.
Yeah the compression gets really crazy at 9.x and then it never really ends all the way up

Shenyang and lim5p max out at 1149 but turn into an absolutely immovable brick while the scimitar clears 1162 with plenty of extra power to put into a climb left and remaining maneuverable. Good luck catching that. Shenyang should be 9.0 in current MM though anyway.

You know literally nobody cares and everyone calls it a Shenyang because that’s what the card in wt says and its the only one called that right? Would it be clearer if i said it’s an F-5? Couldn’t possibly get confusing, could it.
Of course i know Shenyang is an aircraft manufacturer, and it’s not uncommon to refer to planes by their manufacturer, that’s how the germans did it all through WW2. Calling their 109s “Messerschmitts”. In WTs case there isn’t even any variant ambiguity since there’s only one plane with the manufacturer on its nameplate.

Well I did assume it was the F-5 because of the statcard, but this place is filled with people who know enough about aircraft that the statcard doesn’t interfere with how they call an aircraft so many here could call “Shenyang” any Chinese version of a Russian plane for example, if there was enough context. For instance, in a convo about the MiG-21 you could very well have a Chinese version referred to as “the Shenyang one”.
Also maybe something like Messerschmidt is a clear name for the 109 for you, but to me it can refer to a broad variety of German aircraft…
But it’s alright, we just have different talking habits
