Duplicate Vehicles: Why We Add Them

Wdym, Skink was somewhat kinda of ‘Ancient version’ of the Marksman turret designed to be mounted on any Sherman hull.

I cannot wait to see your claims that the Firefly, M4A4 FL-10, and M-51 are ‘American tanks’ because of nothing but they also used same bloody sherman hull.

Sure, all L7 tanks can be British but the M68 isn’t an L7.

Sure, they can be added too.

Wow more stupid stuff. It’s just a licenced production of l7.

No, the M68 isn’t a licensed L7.

Yes it is lmao.

Okay, all 75mm Shermans are French tanks because 75mm M3 are based on 75mm M1897 /s
And Cromwell is also a French tank because the QF 75mm uses the same ammunition as the M3
You are making things absurd.

Mate, you remind me of Crabbe.
You understood things the completely opposite way.

It’s not. You really should do research. The M68 was developed from the T254 105mm, which was designed to be compatible with L7 ammunition. The breech, recoil mechanism, barrel attachment system and bore evacuator are not L7 compatible.

It’s literally a US variant of the L7(it uses the L7’s gun tube and cartridges), and under your Skink logic, the UK can claim it.

Under your logic for the Skink, it means the UK can claim it because it uses a part from the L7.

But it’s not a licensed L7.

It is as long as you claim the US has a claim on a production vehicle, it didn’t test, build or use.

You are claiming M68 is solely American design because of ‘parts from T254’
But you are completely ignoring the same standards on Skink at the very same time.

It is quite funny, innit?

Under your logic of Skink,
We need to remove every 75mm Sherman and Cromwell from the other tech tree and add them directly to the French, since those guns are derived from 75mm M1897.

Or what about removing the nine tech tree and adding everything to the British tech tree, since ‘Tank’ is developed by the British?

Blame Gaijin for caving to the French and putting the SK105 in their tree.

Is the L85A5 an American rifle because it fires 5.56?

I don’t see French mains complaining on SK105 here,
All I see are US mains coping with Skink.

And you know what, if we consider the addition of SK105 to french was bad idea for argument’s sake
Two wrongs don’t make a right.

Are you incapable of understanding sarcasm, no?

French mains complained very loudly about the SK105.

‘Here’.

And US mains complained very loudly about Skink, too.

Why would they be complaining here when no one cares they got the SK105?

Sure because British mains complain about the Abrams and the F15 and the F16 and the F18 and the F22 but that’s all cool I guess. It only becomes a problem with US mains do it.

Here is a bunch of vehicles that use a US hull but aren’t American because, like the Skink, the full vehicle is the turret, and the US never picked them up.

In fact, every prototype Marksman is a British vehicle, but that matters little to a vehicle that made it to the front lines to see (limited) service with its two operator nations. Both nations that funded it, set out the requirements and worked on the program. And well, the two nations involved had had it years before an uninvolved nation cried it deserves the world and got it.

Canada isn’t a tree in game. Other nations that have trees in game get the vehicles they use. Non tree vehicles used to get put with the tree their vehicles came from.
