Is the L85A5 an American rifle because it fires 5.56?
I don’t see French mains complaining on SK105 here,
All I see are US mains coping with Skink.
And you know what, if we consider the addition of SK105 to french was bad idea for argument’s sake
Two wrongs don’t make a right.
Are you incapable of understanding sarcasm, no?
French mains complained very loudly about the SK105.
‘Here’.
And US mains complained very loudly about Skink, too.
Why would they be complaining here when no one cares they got the SK105?
Sure because British mains complain about the Abrams and the F15 and the F16 and the F18 and the F22 but that’s all cool I guess. It only becomes a problem with US mains do it.
Here is a bunch of vehicles that use a US hull but aren’t American because, like the Skink, the full vehicle is the turret, and the US never picked them up.
In fact, every prototype Marksman is a British vehicle, but that matters little to a vehicle that made it to the front lines to see (limited) service with its two operator nations. Both nations that funded it, set out the requirements and worked on the program. And well, the two nations involved had had it years before an uninvolved nation cried it deserves the world and got it.
Canada isn’t a tree in game. Other nations that have trees in game get the vehicles they use. Non tree vehicles used to get put with the tree their vehicles came from.
So, I’m assuming you can point to a nation that has ties on the same level to the SK105 as the UK does to the Skink.
That they funded the program, the program exists to meet both nations’ requirements, and they both actively used it in service?
Looking at its history, there isn’t one; the French were the only nation related to the vehicle in game and they didn’t REJECTED IT WITHOUT TESTING.
Let’s look at the SKink, Canadian SPAA program, with UK involvement; meanwhile, meanwhlie the US rejected the idea of getting involved, making their connection to it 0.
You might as well be claiming the Leo 2s in the French tree fly the French flag; it’s the same argument.
So, with that precedent. USA shouldn’t ever have Skink, because they have zero connection with the Skink Turret project.
If you claim Skink is an American vehicle because of nothing, but it is based on Grizzly I
you can claim those Patton Marksman and M-51, Magachs as American vehicles, too.
Skink was a turret. wdym.
The Skink wasn’t a turret, it was a vehicle with significant US connection.
The SK105 is a Austrian vehicle that was going to be added to the German tree, but that got stopped by the French community.
You see these:
These are me putting time and effort into researching the Skink. You might notice the hull goes unchanged, as the hull was never a permanent part of the Skink. The start and the end of the Skink were the turret. The hull was only the stopgap, as it needed to fit a criten turret ring size and the gizzly match that.
Only US mains who want to claim the world will claim otherwise. As it doesn’t have a US connection; otherwise, the US would have been part of the program, but it wasn’t. It rejected the offer to take part.
There’s no way you can say the US is claiming the world with a straight face when British mains have genuinely tried to claim the F22 Raptor.
Ok, what connection to the German tree does it have?
Did they fund it, test it, or service it? Like the British did with the Skink, and the US didn’t?
Or do you believe the vehicle was somehow vehicle-involved from start to finish the UK involvement is someone more related to the US because they used a US gear? A logic no different from claiming the world.
By political stuff, the Germany claim to the SK105 is still miles better than the Skink, as the US has zero political connection to it.
I’ll answer for him. Nothing
The only reason it would be in Germany is for a alpine/Dach area tree
It was uniquely Austrian using french components
And the Grizzly based Skink uses US made components. French based SK105 was added to the French tree to make the French people happy, US based Grizzly Skink to make the US people happy. Everyone is happy, everyone wins.
Can you shut up now. You point goes back to the same thing.
Muh duh Sherman must be American.
Your ignoring the fact it’s a licenced produced Sherman with its later developments irrelevant to the USA.
Oh, the final sign of losing a debate.
Shoot the messenger.
Okay, some UK mains could claim the F-22 should be british jets (I assume it is also sacarsm though)
It doesn’t mean my logic on the argument gets weaker, no?
I’m not ignoring anything. You cannot explain why the Skink and SK105 are different.
It’s been explained to you 15 time not. You aren’t reading anything.
