I believe the point being made is that not only was the Su-47 never adopted, but it was never meant to be adopted as a combat aircraft, unlike something like the Ho 229. Therefore, as something never intended to be a combat aircraft, and hence with no plans to be armed, it is not eligible for addition to the game.

If the U.S.S.R didn’t collapse it may have eventually been armed. Again, I think this is a narrow distinction that isn’t really that Important. We don’t even know if the Ho 229 would have ever worked. It was never viable and its in game stats are completely speculative and made up.

It’s rather a lack of game modes issue imo, we’re stuck with the same game modes for a decade at this point
I feel like he’s been so emphatic on this point in particular that it seems highly unlikely that they’re going to go back on it. Because if the Su-47 is now a viable addition, then so is the EAP, and so on.
Honestly, if they do decide to betray their standards and add the Su-47, I’m afraid they’re going to do so just to make it a ~$90 USD pack premium. Because that thing will be a money making machine really quickly.

Okay just ignore all the information from original flight tests of the ho229s. Sure it didn’t work at all and definitely didn’t do multiple good flights before it’s crash because of a fatal engine flaw
V3 was never tested. They had to redesign it because V2 was completely unviable.
