It was very likely requested since the early days of the game. It seems precisely like the sort of vehicle that would be discussed many years ago on the old forum. I make the point elsewhere in this thread that the more important aspect of the popularity requirement seems to be how long it’s been requested for compared to simply how heavily it’s been requested.
It probably was more popular than the useless meme that is the XF5U
I disagree. I fully expected the XF5U-1 to appear via DCT eventually ever since the apearance of the TOG II proved that it wasn’t just a one-time event for the Sturmtiger. I was somewhat blindsided by the KV-7, though in hindsight I understand why it made the cut for DCT, as I’m pretty sure I remembered it from the old forum some time ago.

The Fiat 2000 is a bit niche in my opinion. Also painfully slow at 6kph, but I would love to have it regardless.
Maybe the Renault FT for france is another DCT contender, it is very historic and popular and it should have been introduced with the Great War April Event.
Means absolutely nothing. And it’s a fully wooden tank. It can’t actually be added

Looks like it was asked for on some old r/WarThunder posts (since this is the only indication I have due to the closure of the old forum), so maybe. Regardless, as a WWI-era vehicle, it might be too low-tier for DCT. Could be wrong, I suppose.
May struggle to be added as the tank itself was never assembled, even if the individual components had been constructed. Otherwise, would seem to be a good choice for DCT.
I think it is a plausible contender. Also it was added to World of Tanks Modern Armor around the time of the War Thunder 2025 DCT Devblog, so maybe Gaijin would want to jump on the hype train as well to appeal to War Thunder players who are also into WoT? Just a tinfoil hat theory though.
I am still uncertain about the exact standards for DCT additions, they might be slightly more liberal. The TOG II got the GWP package which it never mounted, and the Pancake never successfully flew, only did some runway hops(?)

tanks have different standards, they removed the ho ri recently for this reason, this almost definitely will not be added. not impossible just extremely unlikely.
So, what options do we have so far, according to you?
- No Harley with 37mm, because the USSR tree already had its turn
- No BV 141, because Germany already had its turn
- No O-I, P.43, Tracteur C or FCM F1 because they are dubious at best and mock-up only at worst (if they ever built anything specifically for the Fr*nch ones, we probably will never know as most of the documentation was destroyed)
- No post war stuff, because it’s post war stuff

The FCM F1 existed through “major individual, vehicle-specific parts (i.e. guns, powerplants, etc.) of the vehicle were built”. The Ho-Ri we had in game was “a completely made up, unofficial design created by an individual”.
It’s less real than the panther 2 and the pictures you have are wooden mock ups.
