the bmpt/su30mkk and su-30m2 in my opinion was the last drop in the full cup

Just gave up Enlisted due to lack of enjoyiment.

Playing custom battle in fun unless people start teaming up against you and only kill you. However playing normal game mode is no longer fun. Air RB seems way too chaotic and stock grind is way to painful, ground rb has become quite repetitive, Air sim is kinda fun though in planes like A-10 and F-14 keep on pitching down even with damping on which ruin the experience while playing them (note:- i am only talking about higher tier to top tier as i only liked playing them)
I like the following about War Thunder:
1- Progression is among the top 25% of games I believe; definitely among the top 5% of games I’ve played out of the several hundred live service games.
2- The fact that the vast majority of additions are unique vehicles.
2a- The minor amount of copy-paste is in good places that help tech trees. They can even make new unique lineups not seen elsewhere in ground battles.
3- Sensor modeling is rather good for the simulator genre. DCS does some things better, War Thunder does other things better.
4- I like that War Thunder uses the same materials that Steel Beasts, DCS, etc would have access to.
5- I like that maps are over 2x larger in ground, and over 6x larger in air than they were years ago, elongating matches to a more comfortable amount.
5a- I like that team size has increased making matches both longer, and less pressuring on an individual level.
6- I like that since decompression started, we got 2 BRs of ground decompression, and 3+ BRs of air decompression.
7- Tech tree vehicles are as strong to stronger than premiums as a general rule.
I dislike some of the following:
1- Air SIM rewards players that don’t die far too much, leading to far worse landslide victories than air RB.
This could easily be fixed by removing spawn costs/repairs from air SIM and providing harsher rewards penalties for crashing & Jing out vs dying to another player/AI.
In-fact, you could give a bit of reward for dying to another player. 5% more RP for example.
5% for dying to player.
0% for dying to AI.
-30%+ for crashing or Jing out.
2- I dislike that all modern MBTs except Type 10, and maybe Leclerc, vastly over-perform in mobility compared to real-life in realistic and simulator game modes.
3- I dislike that War Thunder doesn’t have a weapons restriction function for matches.
Such a function would make custom battles easier to coordinate.
Such a function would allow Gaijin to add AIM-9X to F-16C Block 50, but disable it for random realistic air battles and air sim, as an example.
4- I dislike that 2.7 BR ground has never been decompressed despite M4 Shermans and Panzer 4s ruining the experience of 2.3s and many 2.7s as bad as T-80UD ruined 9.3’s experience when it was 10.3, if not worse.
After 4,200+ hours of gameplay over 12+ years… yes, War Thunder has been, is and will always be my “safe space”/area of comfort.
No piece of software will EVER get remotely close. It’s just perfect for me, even despite the undeniable raging issues in regards to bug/issue solving, compression and suboptimal progression.

Well, I believe that I, personally, only continue playing WT because it’s alone on a shelf among Super Fur Fun games, unrealistic ones like Ace Combat and games/simulators like DCS or Falcon BMS.
A few days ago I started playing KCD2, I didn’t even remember that WT existed, it seemed like an ex-girlfriend from a distant past.
But, this game is the same as it was 12 years ago, apart from vehicles and effects, absolutely NOTHING has changed for the better in recent years.
Maps - Poorly made, they have been reduced over time and filled with red zones. A large base of whiny players who only complain instead of thinking and improving.
Unchanging Objectives - The game follows a pattern of immediacy and haste, take off and shoot down the enemies. Which excludes a range of aircraft from the game, such as Attackers and Frontline Bombers. And the situation worsens when the BR increases.
There are no objectives that allow you to fly and have fun with these aircraft.
Quantity instead of quality. - GJ increasingly focuses on releasing X updates per year, and having a large number of errors and bugs instead of focusing on something more time-consuming, mature, tested and well done. A recent example that expresses well what I meant was CAS vs SAMs. Instead of gradually adding aircraft with good CAS mission capabilities along with means capable of countering them, they released aircraft capable of ending a match without any SAM that could counter them. Years later, they implemented medium-range SAMs, with surreal capabilities, and which, with the broken BR, harm lower-tier BRs.
Decompression - GJ is extremely slow and incompetent in this, they proved my point in the last BR update.
Further compressing BRs from 11.3 and above, a shame.
The economy - It’s terrible, progress is slow.
Democratization - It spread vehicles to all nations without considering geopolitical blocs. Japan with Su-30s and MG-29s, China with F-16s and Mirages, it doesn’t make sense.
These are just a few examples of the bad things.
Wow! Just logged on and tried to complete the daily tasks and couldn’t even go beyond 3 matches before I rage quit. Even at BR4.0, the sheer stupidity of team mates was absolutely infuriating. Had a challenge requiring 1 win and 50% activity and the Special task requiring 12 wins and got absolutely stomped in all 3 matches before I decided enough was enough. 15 team mates completely oblivious of enemy tanks flanking and shooting them from behind which left me to try to take care of it and got seriously outnumbered. 15 team mates who completely ignored aircraft. ALL OF THEM, in pretty much all 3 games, doing nothing but making a Lemming train up the middle of the map. The first game was in the map with the abandoned shopping mall in the centre and with over 19 minutes left on the clock the ENTIRE ENEMY TEAM were already at our spawn. In SIX MINUTES!
Please explain the point of a game that’s over in 6 minutes with one side completely steam rolling the other.
I swear to god, this game is so bad for people’s mental health. Gonna have to walk away from this because while the matchmaker is the way it is, the game is only ever going to be aggravating and no point playing something that’s pretty much nothing more than rage inducing these days.
Edit: Was so satisfying uninstalling this game I can barely describe it. There’s so much more to life than wasting time on here. Good luck to the rest of you guys. Don’t forget to get out in the fresh air when you can. :-)

With the addition of the Chinese playerbase to US servers, it is not enjoyable.
With the lack of Oceania servers to account for the addition of the Chinese to US servers makes it less enjoyable, as the unpredictable network behaviour tends to favour the Chinese player in these engagements.
The catering to Chinese bots by making the game less and less complex to facilitate the inflated player count is making it less enjoyable.
The catering to the attention addled by shrinking maps and removing complexity (which you’ll note also facilitates the prior point) makes it less enjoyable.
These issues were present prior to the Chinese merge but have been becoming ever the more prevalent after the merge. They won’t add better modes, because that would require greater complexity, which would degrade the efficacy of bots and make their exploitation of the presence of internet cafes with bought accounts less functional. We won’t get better bomber gameplay, because that doesn’t cater to the bots. We won’t get better fighter objectives, because again, greater complexity requires larger maps, which degrades bot bombers.
This is before even considering the fact that they spread everything out across trees when they could just add homegrown options, or don’t share things that should be shared because it would upset their Chinese playerbase that they milk for coin possibly more than the Americans.
Also if you don’t play major nations, you get shafted as they implement your shit wrong and then make it barely good enough to silence the loudest voices. Though arguably this is present too with major nations to a lesser extent, due to the significantly greater number of voices. Sweden gets shafted constantly due to few voices and even fewer cares on the devs part to listen.
And unfortunately, we will keep coming back hoping they’ll do something to make it better only to be let down again and again. They will inevitably strike this down because they pretend it is racist, when it is really just an assessment of present issues with the title caused by their own poor decisions. Especially the state of the network interface between the Chinese and those around Australia. It is substandard and barely playable. They tell us to use particular servers in the Asian region instead of adding Oceania servers, but they are miserable and infested with cheats. That is if they’re half working on the day you try to use them.
They really just don’t give a shit and I’ve yet to see them do anything to prove otherwise. They don’t want to make a good product, they want to make profit even if it means catering to fictional users.

Now i have nothing to fuckin play in this game.
Update, gonna uninstall. I completed my Goal i set 10 years ago, to Finish the British Ground Tech Tree, Through all of the changes and additions, and i finally caught up. Finally completed my Goal. Without that thing to Strive towards, i don’t see any reason to Play the game anymore.
Its not Fun, its not even remotely fun anymore, There is just no point, HELL i’ve felt like this for the past 2 years atleast, But finally completing that goal i set at the start has set this all in motion.
Im done with the game.

I didn’t play to grind, But it was always a goal to FINISH that Tech Tree, i had alot of fun.
But the game isn’t fun anymore, and after completing my goal, i see no need to stick around. Why waste my time playing a Game so dead set on trying to kill me? Or ruin the things i enjoy?

I did see you mention 9.0 Britain, which for me existed for 1 month many years ago.
9.3 Britain? Been playing that for over 3 years now. 9.0 didn’t have enough vehicles for me, but 9.3 Britain being hilariously strong with tons of options? Fun.
Of course, I play all the game modes, and hundreds of vehicles.
Britain’s recent BR changes… changed nothing for me, but it did for you. You didn’t play those vehicles in the stronger 9.3 lineup. You played them at their previous BR… we have different experiences.

Either way, I’ve been enjoying Tainted Grail and Shogun 2 as well as War Thunder, myself.

What kind of person do you have to be to FORCE yourself to play video games (purpose: entertainment) all to accomplish a so-called goal that’s nothing more than pixels???
I’m speechless, honestly.
i didn’t force my self, I LIKED playing the game, The goal was just something in the back of my mind.
I LIKED Warthunder, But without a GOAL, i see no reason to play it.
Without something to Strive for, even if i was having fun, its a Mindless Slop game that isn’t for people like me anymore. People who started playing 10 years ago when it was a entirely different game. These days its COD with tanks.
NO goal ? Just entertainement & fun, war T is nothing more. I started in the closed beta,

Where is the fun when so much of the game is broken and the devs are too lazy and arrogant to address it? Where is the fun when the matchmaker is so broken that matches are over in 5 minutes with one team or the other getting absolutely stomped. There is no skill in it any more because 90% of your team mates are clueless muppets.
