Does anyone else think that any Phantom at 12.0 should be moved down to 11.7 as they are all very similar to the Mig 23’s at the battle rating. A phantom going against f-15s or Su-27s is really unfair to those who play them.
I can’t see it being good above 4.0, especially against stuff like Yak-3s or 109F-4. It’s also apparently missing 200-300HP out of every engine.
I’ve also heard that statshark isn’t the best for comparing props either.

The matchmaking might be the same but the game does try to prohibit certain nations from teaming up. But this doesnt make much sense in practise because I will still be on a ‘prohibited team’ when playing solo and when I’m in a squad then the matchmaking gets grumpy and does everything it can to prevent it. Secondly certain BRs will have the worst players on your team and then they will be the most try hard sweats youll come across when you face that same nation. Its a piss poor way of saying they have SBMM, Its just most noticeable at certain BRs with certain nations… i.e. Russia, Germany, US since they are played the most.
I mean the F4J gets slightly better missles than the F4E but has worse missles than the Mig 23 and yet the mig 23 is 11.7
For balance the bomber/strike air gunners useless defense situation. AI gunners on strike and bomber aircraft need to be buffed, range (600m minimum distance for start shooting, to max 1500m with aced and max crew) and a little bit more accuracy for skilled crew. At this time an aced crew is almost the same as the beginner one. They need a huge difference, the aced or better quality crew need exponential better aim and range. This isn’t true and has never been proven. It’s also highly improbable with all the other matchmaking variables.
Nah. F-4J gets a better radar than the MiG-23, and double the effective sarh missiles while also having better IR missiles. You can argue that the R-24R is better than a singular AIM-7F. You cannot argue 2 R-24Rs are better than 4 AIM-7Fs or that the MiG-23 radar is superior.

Is there something I am not aware of about the Me163? Seems like I am out of fuel as soon as I arrive at the frontline, in which case I am also slower than all my contemporaries. So who decided it was a good idea to put it along side 8.0/8.3 vehicles?
It used to have 6 mins of fuel which allowed you to budget it much better, but it was nerfed down to 4 without any BR compensation. I think all of those rocket planes should be 8.0/7.7 with an interceptor spawn, but Gaijin doesn’t seem to want to change it.
Tip: don’t use full throttle for anything but dogfights, it can last for 20+ minutes on 50% throttle.
IDK where they got the 4 min from as well. Also since only very limited (one person I think unauthorised) tests were conducted post war. I think they should go down further with current fuel since they aren’t ‘strong’ against their contemporaries RN anyway, if the current fuel is kept they should be down to say 7.3, since MK108/MG151 also aren’t nearly enough for fast engagements.

Its Gaijin balancing the BRs based on their internal numbers. Its not traditional SBMM but its still a form of it.
No evidence this exists
