FGR 2 is the RAF version of the Phantom
FG 1 is the Naval version, there are some other small changes but thats the crux of it.
Tornado is fine, it’s great when you get 12.0 and dont have scores of 13.0 Su-27s and F-15s coming to crap on everything in the loby.
It’s just another great example of much needed decompression.
It’s insanity that the J11A still sits at 13.7 battle rating, in the same spot as the superior J11B.
The A version, should have been lowered to 13.3 as it is objectively inferior to any of it’s contemporaries at 13.7 and above.

Exactly this. Move FG.1 down a Br, to 11.7 and leave FGR.2 at 12.0 but give it Aim-9Ls. There is no reason These Phantoms with Aim-9Gs and basically Aim-7E-2s be at same Br as Tornado, or F4S which is far more superior.
They instantaneous worse*, they however sustained 2 degrees per second more, which accounts for 14 - 17% more sustained turn rate.|
FG1 is among the best Phantoms in direct comparison as well as personal experience.
9L would make FG1/FGR2 12.7 post-decompression, and 12.3 instantly.
And yes, Tornado F3 is under-BR’d.
Honestly, If there is an alternative in the TT, it should receive a better loadout. In the case of the Phantom FG.1 and FGR.2, since their performance, radar, and armament are identical, once you spade one of them, there is no points to play the other variant, except as a backup or for stats padding.
Also, this allows them to serve as a legitimate counterpart to other variants like the F-4EJ Kai, which already have AIM-9Ls, since they would have its own distinct strengths and weaknesses, just like F-86 Sabres in old top tier games.
They gotta do something about the F-89, every rank IV match where it somehow ends up becomes unplayable. In air arcade it can just sit above enemy spawn and easily hit-and-run anyone who spawns without any retaliation possible

Kamov ka-52 12.0 and the others (Tiger UHT, Block, etc.) are 12.3? Its just a joke right?
Kamov 52 need 12.3 (or 12.7) BR.
It’s super OP in air RB too, because for whatever reason it’s a 7.7 plane at 7.0.
Ka-52 doesn’t have fire & forget missiles, and its missiles are on-par and worse than other missiles at 11.7 and 12.0.
Vikhr is one of the best missile in game, range, speed, power, even anti heli/anti air possibilities. Ka-52 has much better ircm and Maw, harder to hit, has option for 8 anti air, 12 vikhr and 2 more pilons. Tiger UHT has 8 pars and 4 anti air, thats all (other weapons are just simple bad over 11.3 br). Pars (or spikes) are way worse in one-hit kill capabilities. I have ka-50, in 11.3 is also a little overpowered, but not so much as ka-52, also have Tiger uht, so I can compare them. UHT br is fine, but ka-52 is need raise.

Mokopa is a better missile than Vikhr.
ALL fire and forget missiles are better than both Mokopa and Vikhr.
IRCM and MAW don’t protect it from SACLOS SPAA.

And PARS are an objectively superior missile to manually guided missiles.
I don’t know, I trust my own hand over IR sensors. I’ve used enough Spike missiles to realise I’d rather have laser guided over IR.

Because Ranks 3-5 is pretty balanced, with 6 being completely forgotten about, so no one cares about it.

The J-11A is considerably worse than any 13.7 plane, but it might be too good for 13.3 (debateable, but this shows BR compression).
It is identical to the Su-27/J-11 apart from it having MAWS, which means it still has SPO-15 and N001 radar. Neither of which belong on a 13.7 plane.
