I’m sure it’s still in the game as a playable vehicle, but I just noticed that the AVRE isn’t in the British tech tree to purchase anymore and when I tried finding the pack online, it didn’t show up. Is this just a me thing or did the AVRE just disappear?

Removed because it was being used almost exclusively by cheaters to HESH bomb with aimbots. I guess they weren’t making much money any more…
But don’t worry it will pop up again for “sale” (at an inflated “regular” price).

As someone who owns the tank, it is inaccurate AF
the ranging of the tank is messed up even when the crew is aced (200 - 400m was shown as 600. everything below 200m your crew would yell out: “[insert tank name] range air!”)
the hesh shell could be bounced and wouldn’t destroy some open vehicles, yet overpressure heavy vehicles if missed.
there was a lot wrong with this tank, and they decided that its easier to be removed, than to be fixed

Most likely because HESH is so much broken that they wont even bother anymore. There are so many open bug report open about the poor performance of HESH. Around 3-4 years ago it was decent and playable. Now it is completely useless.
TL:DR a HESH round with 15KG TNT does somehow less/no damage than normal 4KG HE. Beyond stupid.
Yeah the HESH round on the AVRE is BUNS. It’s got what like 18kg+ of HE filler, yet it does NOTHING upon hitting tanks?
Yeah it has 21KG TNT. I made back than a video compilation showing how bad is with a bug report. It is sad that to this date nothing has changed. Ignore the ricochets it is an entirely different bug where the game fails to calculate the correct projectile angle.

Have had plenty of fun games in it. Flash back to when I was in an AVRE surrounded by enemy after enemy. And ended up in a race for the nuke with one enemy… who… dropped a nuke on my behind (All 11 kills were with AVRE, got shot down in Wyvern, and then brought a backup AVRE before the (silent) nuke).
