This is a silly assertation. 9.3+ flareless jets also have to face AIM-9Ls, except the F-104 is best equipped to avoid them with its speed, acceleration and 2 AIM-9Bs (not to mention low heat signature in a head-on)

Well I have to admit that gaijin’s refusing to really double check the game is disappointing. Even relic entertainment solves serious balancing issues faster than gaijin.
What does my stats have to do with this? Last time I checked that doesn’t affect the topic at hand which is the F104
Your stats show you don’t know what you’re talking about. I’m sorry but you shouldn’t be talking about game balance if you dont even manage to get a 1 K/D in your most played vehicles.

That doesn’t have to with game balance at all. Coming at someone’s skill is a low blow showing that you don’t have any real argument.
you just have to turn and the F-104 can never hit you due to it’s low maneuverability

not only that but the F-104’s flight performance was bug reported and if that goes through like many other jets that got nerfed with similar reports recently it will become even less maneuverable
This makes the F-104 even more op given the worse F-105 is a full BR higher.
This was never the issue it was always about the F-104 top speed.
how is the F-105 worse when it has better maneuverability, more + better missiles and chaff? is it the top speed?
The difference is barely noticable. The F-104 accelerates much faster and weighs half as much as the 105.
Aim-9 B and E are both useless trash.
And 0 flares despite 90% of the missiles at this BR are IR guided.

meh sure i guess, i thought it was comparison if they were both at 9.3. hence why i mentioned chaff, the lack of which prevents the F-104 from climbing or else it would get easily intercepted by an R-3R launched by a MiG-21 that would have otherwise been quickly 1 chaffed by the F-105.

I’ve never seen anyone carry the chaff pods they are completely useless. Radar missiles aren’t a threat at this BR compared to IR ones.
I genuinely think Gaijin forgets that certain vehicles exist in every planned BR change which is frustrating since they basically create a new seal-clubbing vehicle for the BR bracket every time they try to fix the old ones which were doing the same thing.
I don’t believe they have a human manually double check the changes before releasing them
yes just turn forever allowing the F-104 and F-8s to make as many passes as they want as you get slower and slower while they’re pretty much untouchable
Look these planes are under-BRed and need to go up. It makes zero sense fighting F-104 at 8.3 and it’s unbearable. I don’t care if it sucks for the US players, these planes are unbearable for EVERYBODY ELSE
