10.0 supersonic with missiles better than aim9b, and countermeasures. It used to rip, but that doesn’t happen anymore. I see no reason it doesn’t go to 10.3 or even 10.7.

It will go up in due time, but likely not 10.7 since the F-8E which is better than it in nearly every way is there. If the F-8E gets Aim-9Gs and moves up to 11.0, then I could see the F-8C (F-8U-2) going up to 10.7

Yeah, it’s disgustingly powerful at the moment. If you don’t have flares within its BR range there’s very little you can do against the swarms you’ll be facing. It’s nigh unplayable, no clue why this hasn’t been hotfixed yet.
Ayit is also kind of in the same boat with its missiles but at least it isn’t supersonic and is sub-par if you catch it in a dogfight.

F8U and F-8E were at the same BR for a long time before they were separated, a change which was justified mainly by the wingrip issues which have been fixed now. I can see them both being 10.7 at the same time but I also wouldn’t mind giving the F-8E something extra to move it to 11.0 so the 8U is more comfortable at 10.7, as you suggest.

Both of them should be 10.7 as they are equally capable. The U is more maneuverable and the E has radar missiles.

Would be so nice if they finally made the IRST on the F-8E useful for something, since you can’t slave Aim-9Ds but you can slave Aim-9Gs which would be so lovely
(I swear 99% of F-8E players don’t even know it has IRST lmao)
I love how right after I unlock the plane it suddenly becomes meta lol. I only learned about it last night when playing it for the first time and finding every battle had like 6 of them per team.
It does feel pretty strong, but dont lump me in with the FOTM people, its the highest BR plane I have in the US tree and im just grinding with it!
They moved the F-104s down to 9.3 because people dont know how to play them Imagine the silliness of facing on at 8.3 and your whole team basically unable to do anything

They know the F-104 is unkillable but they they care. This and the other 9.3s (MiG-19, Ariete, Ayit) make 8.3/8.7 unplayable.

Reminds me of AV-8 or F-105 when it was added they Need to move up AV-8A and F-104 all the Really capable planes are too strong to have a chance against
If they simply moved 9.0+ up after decompressing 10.0-13.0BR there wouldn’t be such a big problem now.
My A10s Aim 9L thinks otherwise. But it doesnt really need to be moved up because it does not have flares.Any missile with more than 12gs you will die to. It has it pluses for its BR but it isn’t some game ending machine.
Damn I didn’t know there were Aim9L at 8.3 but good to know.

Yeah BRs work both ways. 10.0 premium A10 AMX(I think) all have aim 9Ls
If it is 9.3 it can still go up to 10.3 while going to 8.3.
What i’m trying to say is that the F104 is balanced
Yes tell me more about how the A-10 helps 8.3 planes fight an aircraft that’s twice as fast as them.
That is what happens at every BR range to an extent. There is no better place to put it because than it’ll be unusable.
What other BRs has planes that have a top speed difference of ~800kph?
The F-104 makes an entire BR bracket unusable.

Bro no it doesn’t. You just need to be aware you can easy dodge it and most people playing it will not know what to do before you turn around. I agree it isn’t the best thing for the BRs health but there is NO where else it can go.
