What gaijin has added right now is a copy of the Oplot-T, which has never been used by Pakistan.
At most, we can say they added the Pakistani trials Oplot-M:
I really hope it gets a new model. Either make it the trialed Oplot-M and make the minor model tweaks, or give it the real Oplot-P model (please do this one)
Honestly their best course of action might be to make it the trialed Oplot M instead. This way they’d need the least changes to it and might even get away with keeping the Oplot T model as a placeholder before the necessary changes are made.
I’d love to see the actual Oplot P, and I’d prefer if that’s what they made, but at least if they made it Oplot M the Oplot P could be one more unique tank for the main tree in the future.
they might never get around to it if they do change the name
theyll have to change the model to be the M variant anyway and we all have reservations for that
its best that they do it right this time and spare themselves the hassle later
also there are reportedly ERA differences between the Oplot-P, T and M
I wouldn’t mind the Oplot P, which was modified based on Pakistani requirements, or even the Oplot M which Pakistan at least trialed, but taking the Oplot T and calling it Oplot P is just bad. I really hope they fix this.
I also hope this means that we can get the Thai VT-4, which is Thailands main service MBT.
Hopefully, theirs were entirely unique variants and they actually bought them.
