that bug report system is so broken
Just searching in youtube we can find the right Oplot-P isn’t that coming to WT.
This is a great find.
Thank you.
Found using grok.

im not so sure about this source
there is a source however which states the overall description of the T-84 Oplot-M and Oplot-T. the book is:
Zhurnal Bronekollektsiya Bronekollektsiya Tank T-84 Oplot

Reading it, we can see that the Oplot-P is, not even mentioned. It is, afterall, a development of the 2010s upto 2017.
But what it does tell us is how the Oplot-M/T are similar. and we can clearly see how the new Oplot-P differs from the above two examples.
yeah Im all for having the oplot-P look unique because its adds variety, but youd need to find a source that explicitly states that pakistan was planning on buying oplot-Ps with less ERA (looking like the photos that you have) instead of the current conclusion that gaijin has come to which is probably they were temporarily removed for testing
via Tank AFV
the knife (nizh) ERA

Oplot-M

Oplot-T

Oplot-P
(obv the sale has never went through)

Apparently two prototypes (or two versions) were made
one with varta but no side skirts/sideERA and one with the side armour but no varta

in this case, all we have are, arguably, reputable news sources such as:
- Quwa
- depo-Kharkiv
- below the turret ring
- article from 2017 mentions ongoing trials, we know the oplot-M trials were in 2015, hence the 2017 trials are for the new verison, the oplot-P
- podrobnosti.ua
- rbc.ua
since the tender was in 2017 and no books have been really written about it, especially in the english circles (idk about the russian/ukrainian circles since i cant read those languages)
I believe gaijin requires two secondary sources
but if you havent already add those to the bug report gaijin seems somewhat willing to change it if valid reasonable sources can be found that illustrate our point
Apparently the Oplot-P can utilize the Varta soft kill aps and the Zaslon hard kill aps.
It can carry vartra aps but it is missing the option for the zaslon hard kill aps which would be really cool and useful to have in this fire and forget missle meta
The varta APS can be installed however the zaslon requires significant modifications to be made functional.
Hence i doubt we will be seeing that.
Either way, Zaslon wont work well in game
It is a similar style of system as the german strikesheild which has, so far not been able to work well as i have been told.
So i would rather do without it and keep the BR balanced.
its a bit better now, it performs quite well against spikes and decently on a lot of heli missiles
likes its still not perfect but imo its now actually worth being 11.0 because of it
and imo not having played it the oplot being at 12.3 already is a bit of a stretch so having a APS against missiles would be pretty good and i dont think it would really go up in BR because of it (it probably would, but i think the oplot should go down if it doesnt get it)
ah thats good to hear. thats one of the reasons its better than the Puma VJTF (still same BR though).
yeah i think similar vehicles should be around 12.0 instead of 12.3 since the absolute top tier vehicles like 2A7v, STRV, 90M, B3A and others shouldnt really be stomping on them
Capable of adding new tanks aren’t capable of making it right
such incompetence.
this is so interesting, the Oplot-P is being used here.
its so obvious because of the side ERA plates being different.
this really provides a treasure trove of footage
thank you
Maybe ingame once the model is fixed, there could be a modification to upgrade the ERA to this standard
Also from a bug mod who gave ‘not enough info’
"The Dev has asked you to support your assertion with the materials indicated as acceptable references. As you can clearly see a forum post and some unidentified pictures do NOT meet those standards.
The Dev has done nothing wrong in pointing you to the requirement. DO NOT make ridiculous complaints about being directed to follow the guidelines.
Those requirements are clearly indicated in the files section. See my screenshot. You can READ the original right underneath my screenshot in the Additional Files for Historical purposes section."
Unironically they need to fire all of the tech mods and get new ones who aren’t assholes
yeah its sad to see them tripping out at what is a logical bug report.
if only they knew the lack of sources on the oplot-P (they didnt because they added the wrong tank)
they would understand that conventional and usual guidelines cannot be used in this scenario.
also not to mention what ever he attached:
it broke the historical section and it doesnt load anything anymore
i cant even acces my own attached files in there much less what he attached
