After Chinese players were unhappy that Thailand would receive the VT-4, even then, it was unclear whether it would be available in research, premium, or squadron form.
So what’s happening now? The Z-10ME is getting Blue Arrow missiles, and the Oplot-P tank is based on the Oplot-T, different only in camouflage (and it’s free).
Oplot is from pakistan (you can easily google it) and Z-10ME had worst top tier fire and forget missiles. and Oplot isn’t free, you need a good enough squadron to get it. (in my opinion). however VT-4 for japan is really questionable decision.
im no fan of china. i wouldnt want to live in china, but i think westerners are getting triggered by propaganda pushed by their echo chambers and CCs who are complaining about china getting favourable treatment that other nations have been getting ever since War Thunder was made 11 years ago.
America almost always peaks in ARB (Fighters). the 27ER and the current meta are the outliers
Germany, sweden and russia peak in GRB (MBTs). the current meta is proof of that
japan prolly peaks in naval but who plays that anyway
deserved. ascompared to LMUR, JAGM,… CM-502s were a tickle
its basically an IR guided AKD-10. nothing to worry about more than a JAGM
Its a Thai vehicle and Thailand is a Japanese sub tree. And Japan /Thailand makes more sense than most, Japan and Thailand have had good relations with both trade an military cooperation for centuries, to quote Thailand’s foreign ministry:
“In 1593, when King Naresuan defeated Phra Maha Uparaja, the Burmese Crown Prince, in a battle on elephant-back, his army was composed of 500 Japanese soldiers. This indicated that the Japanese had entered Thailand some time before that.”
Then there where the “Red seal” trade ships, a large Japanese population in Thailand.
They even continued limited trade and diplomatic relations through Japans national isolation.
Japan also assisted Thailand reclaim land from colonial France during WW2.
Lets not compare that to South Africa and India’s history with England.
I’m not quite sure how gaijin made his choice. From my understanding, Chinese players just wanted to avoid giving their tanks to their former enemies in the previous version (which was updated around their Victory Day/National Day). And this version obviously doesn’t have similar complaints anymore. Similarly, I’m not sure why Oplot-P appeared on the Chinese tech tree. I guess it’s because gaijin believed that providing M1A2T to Chinese players would cause dissatisfaction among players from other countries, so they made such a decision. Overall, everything doesn’t seem right, and gaijin’s decision makes people feel uncomfortable as always.
btw, China already has VT5 as their squadron vehicle, and there is no need for another one. Gaijin only needs to further fix the existing bugs of the Chinese vehicles, but they choose to “please” Chinese players in this strange way, although it has no effect.
Im sure that if there wasnt for chinese reaction to the thai VT-4 drama (like the “giving stern warning” guy), pakistani oplot would fly under the radar.
worse is, that whole drama damaged, and in some cases continues to damage, any goodwill non-chinese community has towards the current state of bug reports related to the state of chinese vehicles.
To give an example, Morvran created Challenger 2 megathread and linked all known bugreports for it there. I had zero issues going through each one of them and bumping them up, even if Challenger 2 issues currently dont affect me. Id do the same if someone created, say ZTZ99 megathread…before the thai VT-4 drama. Now, id think twice.
That’s true — it’s really happening. If Gaijin listens too much to Chinese players, the game will lose its balance, and the scales will be unfairly tilted to one side. The “VT4” event for Japan just shows how Gaijin really is — only trying to appease the angry Chinese players, like dealing with a review bomb.
Isn’t this exactly what Gaijin wants to see? Conflicts intensify among players, eventually turning into a battle between Chinese players and other players, while Gaijin laughs from behind.
