Custom flags functionality

Well, you have constantly been talking about how bad Taiwan is. Nevermind the fact that every argument you make is just “Taiwan illegitimate.” I mean, you even said that the flag itself violates the Gaijin TOS, stating that because Taiwan is not recognised, it cannot possibly be “Neutral”. I’m sure I don’t need to spell out why that is political.

You’ve repeatedly accused people of spreading hate and following propaganda.

You’ve been actively comparing a country (whether recognised or not) and it’s flag to the Nazis, generalised entire communities and even ignored talking to Taiwanese people after saying that this entire thread is filled with “Americans and other Westerners”.

While yes, other people have been responding to political arguments and not all have been taken down, each is to the discretion of a moderator. You have repeatedly insulted people and disregard any attempt to an apolitical discussion, so of course you’d be focused on.

You are now calling the moderators biased.

And you are now again insulting and accusing. You cannot be this blind.

They took it away because it is an army flag*. There are three countries without a replacement National flag currently: Republic of China (1912-1971), Republic of China (aka Taiwan, 1971-) and South Vietnam.

*Similarly to how the Imperial Japanese Naval flag was replaced with the National flag of Japan.

So uhhhh message mainly to the moderator…I just noticed something, “a staff member has locked this post from being edited”, and the edited out part which wasn’t done by me was at the start when I said:
“Wow so my post was deleted
Here it goes again:”

Is there an issue pointing out the previous reply I gave was moderated for an unclear reason? What even is the problem with that, I hope this message doesn’t simply get deleted for no reason as well. I’d like to know why my posts are moderated and my words edited against my will so I can at least avoid the same mistakes…??? Makes sense right?

Don’t question the mods, you’ll get a 3D/5D ban like I did for simply asking questions on why a post was deleted. Its part of their forum rules that you are not allowed to question any decisions a moderator has made.

The flag of the former Soviet Union may be included as an option alongside the flag of the Russian Federation.

Should this precedent be considered acceptable, then in accordance with the PRC government’s stated position that “the ROC only exists in history and has been replaced by the PRC,” allowing both flags to coexist as selectable options would be entirely reasonable.

Perhaps if Gaijin simply stated, “We decided to remove flags associated with the ROC to avoid offending the ‘massive‘ Communist Chinese (PRC) players base we’ve been actively courting and appeasing lately — even though we know that the PRC hasn’t denied the ROC’s historical existence. As for the ‘minority’ players who care about this flag, we couldn’t care less,” that would dispel the above arguments.

After all, players are well aware of Gaijin’s “commercial savagery.”

We should get an option to change chinas flag to tik tok logo.

Umm, you know, there were things that happened there in the 60-th that make 1989 look like child’s play.

Let’s not start discussing actions undertaken by whatever goverment in this thread. This is about the the functionality of flags in the new client-side system.

No, they literally apologize for having ROC Army flag.

Why limit to national flags tho? Since there are not only natioal flags anymore in game already so there is no reason not to add other navy flags or other non national flags.

And Japan is really empty.

Everyone has so many flags so why not add Army and Navy flags?

And JSDF

and other non national flags for other nations too?

Also would be great to have Army and Navy flags for each vehicle to show its ww2 and JSDF and JMSDF flags for after war ones on the backround

Like chi-ri army flag - Ka-chi navy flag etc.

This isn’t about 100% agreement or anyone’s hate of Razer/Alvis. This world is not all about you. This is about one specific ludicrous attempt at justifying Gaijin’s actions here (“maybe they can’t use their national flag because it’s ALSO their naval flag?”), just 100% copium, that just happened to be authored by you.

The only “fan fiction” I see here are those pro-Gaijin “fan” voices claiming this removal wasn’t 100% deliberate or there’s probably some elaborate plan to quietly reverse it. That’s obviously daft for anyone to really believe at this point, but me mocking the daftness also helps keep the objection thread alive here so… See y’all tomorrow:)

(EDIT: I see the post this replied to has now been taken down, either by Razer/Alvis or someone else. So it’s kinda moot, apologies for this post becoming a non sequitur as a result. I wish people would edit their posts if they could no longer stand by them, instead of deleting them.)

@Bruce_R1
Me: “Many people here that support the national flag being added have been the subject of hate.”
Your post: Accuses my post that explicitly defends everyone supporting the flag as me talking about myself… This isn’t about me, stop making everything about me.
It’s about the national flag not being on the dev server, and your post justifying the harassment all the supporters get by attacking my post that defends them.

Me: “ROC’s national flag needs to be in the game. Gaijin would be incorrect not to add it.”
Your post: “Your posts that criticize Gaijin are cope.”

I hope you just thought I was someone else, cause your post does not look good when it’s attacking another user whose post was defending everyone that wants the ROC national flag in-game.

Careful, you’re making sense. XD

The national flag should be available.

Sadly there are many people here accusing us of coping for it not being available on dev.

I should clarify, I was only explaining how things currently are, not neccesarily endorsing it.

IMO players should be able to use whatever client side flag they want, army or otherwise.

Guys I would like to remind everyone that your are to debate the topic not the user, example of this don’t make a poll asking if some’s view is “cope” etc, You’re not to discussion moderation or flags if you feel there is something wrong with a decision or a flag DM a mod and we will deal with it.
On that note stay on topic!

It would be nice if Smin or any other person in the known would acknowledge the existance of this problem. We dont officialy know why RoC doesnt get its national flag and we dont know if it ever will. Us writing here without any confirmation or denial accomplishes nothing. “Yes, we are working on it” or “No, we are not working on it” would suffice.

I don’t know who else in their right mind still talks to Alvis instead of just adding him to the blacklist, but if you do — use direct quoting of his post. The part you quoted in your post won’t change when he edits or deletes his, and you won’t become a target of his gaslighting.

I don’t understand, if they’re not trying to appease their apparently large mainland Chinese playerbase, why don’t they just allow players to use the national flags of the nations only represented by a non-national flag? For example, South Vietnam in the US tree is only represented by their naval ensign. Or the Russian Empire (if you don’t have the Garford) is only represented by its’ naval ensign. Seems like it’d be the perfect solution to the problem.

Actually, how come Japan isn’t allowed its naval ensign on the statcards?
The Weimar Republic, German Empire, WW2 Germany, Russian Empire, and British ships at random all use their naval ensigns, but no Japanese ships do.
What’s up with that?

Whether or not it is political does not matter in this sense because this is simply not the topic to discuss such events. This thread is about flags. The mods are just making sure it stays about flags.
