I’m completely confused. So the Chinese government could, say, bring CM11 tanks or F-CK-1 aircraft to Beijing, and they’d fly in a parade under PRC flags together with the J-10A?
By the way, why isn’t the F-CK-1 in the game yet — is it because of the unfortunate name?
If replacing flags causes such a fuss, why was this feature added in the first place? It was logical to assume that there would be particularly sensitive individuals who would not like it.
I keep returning to this thread and what I keep seeing is constantly the same thing, users arguing against the ROC flag using politics, which means they are invalid arguments in the eyes of Gaijin officially.
Having only one of the two flags for opposing governments still at war is inherently a political stance, them adding the correct flag is thus apolitical since both sides claim the same territories. If this situation was flipped and China was added with the WW2 flag instead of the modern mainland one, I would be arguing for the PRC flag, however we are in this situation not that one.
Frankly not having the flag makes no sense, since all other nations have their WW2 era flag as the default or as an option, so excluding one is wrong. This is a client side feature and while user made flags would be neat, that does not mean it should not be officially ingame like all other WW2 flags. Yes the german flag is different, but for good reason, it is seen as a hate symbol and thus cannot be used as an argument against the addition of the ROC flag.
If your only arguments are political please just leave this thread, this is not the place for that.
This really could have been avoided if the correct flag was kept for ROC vehicles when 1.91 was released.
There will always be people that are sensitive, people argue against any feature that gets added no matter what it is, pleasing everyone is impossible. The best thing to do is to do any feature fairly (looking at you heli damage models, AH-56 has the old style still RIP). Them removing the other flags is also a mess, they should have just kept every flag, since as some people said they play naval and want the naval flags, RIP them tho with the new naval feature.
I mean 1921 as a year of creation of PRC is wrong but as I would say USSR was created in 1917 when october revolution started then PRC was created in 1935 after The Long March ended.

The vehicles in the initial tech tree belong to the Republic of China. Using the five-starred red flag as a standard during World War II was incorrect. The Republic of China is not part of the People’s Republic of China; this is an established fact and has nothing to do with politics.
Either just flat out remove the ROC sub tree, or keep the ROC/Taiwan flag with those vehicles. The Chinese tree shouldn’t be getting ROC/Taiwanese vehicles, unless its properly represented on who operated them. You don’t do this for any other Operator in the game, do not remove the Taiwanese flag, it is disrespectful.
Most of the people voting to bring back the ROC flag in this topic are pretending that as long as they loudly claim not to care about politics, others outside the community will also ignore the political implications of their actions. That’s quite funny.
It’s ridiculous how people who don’t even grasp the basics of business risk management are lecturing others about “historical significance” and “justice.” That’s just textbook nerd behavior.
This argument can easily also be used the other way around. Keeping the RoC flag out of the game would also inherently have political implications.
Personally I’d say removing the ability to select a flag representing the ROC was itself a political statement.
The speed in which that original complaint was addressed and actioned when compared to how we’re now on day 3 of calling for it’s re-instatement also seems political to me, being how swift gaijin was in removing it and now how sluggish they are being in re-implementing it.

people vote for their money, so does gaijin. if people outside China mainland provides most income, chinese voice are of no importance.
player from the community can act as they like, but not a company, which needs to earn a living. that’s my point.
why ukraine vehicles are not added in the game? you really cant get that? no further responses.
Personally I don’t see why Ukrainian vehicles can’t be added into their own tech tree or be shared in a tech tree with other eastern European nations but again, that’s off topic.
Btw @TheKnightOfZero do you have any info regarding if this topic is being discussed by gaijin? Or would we have to make a properly formatted suggestion somewhere in the correct bit of the forums.
I am forum Mod I have no information on anything Gaijin is working on or planning I know the same things you guys do , Any official news will always come from CM’s as seen with the Dev blogs and Community updates!
This topic was made so people can have a place to discuss the flags of course with-in the guidelines, The last thing I saw about the flags was by Smin.
@Smin1080p_WT Since the dev server is until November 7th, which is just over a week from now, can we expect any further comments from Gaijin regarding this matter within that time?
Fair enough, I’ll wait for the update to drop to make the flag suggestion.
