Damn, Sorry for old data.Thanks.
You are right, we should examine the argument in more detail, notwithstanding the fact that it comes from a bad faith position. The argument is that the RoC (illegitimate) flag should be added to the custom flags selection, because it is a flag used by the de facto government of Taiwan. On its face, this seems fair, but it quickly runs into several issues:
Taiwan is internationally recognized as part of China. As a province of China, Taiwan is not recognized as a nation, and its de facto government does not have the full sovereignty which nations have.
a. Under the description of the update, it is explicitly described that only national flags are available for selection. The ROC flag doesn’t qualify as such.
In the Gaijin ToS, under Annex #1, it is stated that there are restrictions content ingame.
a. It is explicitly stated that you must not, among others, “share provocative content, engage in illegal discussion, spread hate speech, [or] endorse harmful propaganda”.
b. Part 6 of this section details the prohibition of political content ingame:
6 . Political Content . We do not support or endorse political entities, and using our Game(s) for any political purpose is strictly prohibited. This includes posting political messages in game chats or using political content in clan (squadron, etc.) names, logos, or descriptions. The only exception is the occasional addition of neutral content by Gaijin, such as flags and national emblems of United Nations Member States.
The RoC is not a member of the UN, and so its national flag cannot be considered “neutral content”, and logically would not be allowed ingame.
From these 3 reasons, we can arrive at the same conclusion which Gaijin has already computed: it is not only unnecessary, but incorrect to add the flag of the ROC ingame.
Left. Right. Doesn’t matter which side.
It’s due to tons of folks simply complaining. Which is why some Historical flags go bye-bye. Like a certain recent one.
Also, yes. In the Community Response recently.
“We’ll also be expanding upon options provided by Pakistani vehicles to help expand the tree alongside the planned domestic vehicles.”
We should compaign for a DPR and LPR combined subtree in the USSR tree. They have a lot of unique upgraded vehicles too

First off, the same flag was used pre 1949.
Second, A lot of nations have diplomatic missions in ROC which is commonly refereed to as Taiwan.
Third, ingame there are vehicles that are from the ROC and thus should be selectable.
Making this political is clearly a way to make the mods get angry and close the discussion, with some of the most blatant bait I have ever seen here.

Every time, they say that after 1949 the Republic of China (Taiwan) lost its territory in mainland China and retreated to Taiwan, claiming it was “defeated” or “ceased to exist.” But the fact is, the Republic of China (Taiwan) continues to exist.
Next, they usually bring up UN Resolution 2758 to argue that Taiwan belongs to China. However, Resolution 2758 only decided which government would hold China’s seat in the UN; it did not decide Taiwan’s status or whether it belongs to China.
Oh, and just because a country isn’t in the UN doesn’t mean it isn’t a country. So from 1949 until the end of 1971, China itself wasn’t a UN member — technically, it wasn’t recognized as a country in the UN.
So the Soviet flag also needs to be increased (1922-1991)? Soviet has not existed for a long time.
Burned lmao
If gaijin doesn’t want to do business in China they can just say it out loud
Stop being political
Gotta love hypernationalists bullying others so plainly and out in the open.
It’s called the USSR tech tree not Russian. You don’t have a suitable replacement for the USSR flag under the USSR tech tree
No one said that, they have options to make it so if you are in the mainland you cannot select or see the flag, I feel like that would be the best way to do it frankly.
Also bringing a hot conflict into this and saying stop being political is so funny.
The Republic of China (ROC) was a founding member of the United Nations in 1945 and held China’s seat, including a permanent seat on the UN Security Council until 1971.
The ROC flag should be added on account of being a historical flag, it’s current use is beside the point.
I am explaining history.
This is a bad faith position from you. It was also the flag of the Republic of China from 1928-1949, which was succeeded by the current People’s Republic of China.
The ROC flag would qualify as 12 countries recognise it as a Country. Not to mention that it was previously recognised by the UN. This means that as vehicles from this era (prior to 1971, which includes the Sabres in the Chinese tech tree) would qualify this flag to be added as it was a national flag then. Not to mention that the Republic of China (1928-1949) was also internationally recognised, so what would be the issue with that?
As Taiwan used to be a neutral member of the UN and that version of Taiwan is represented in game, it is a neutral addition. Unless you want to remove all Taiwanese vehicles prior to 1971, your argument falls flat again. Not to mention that the ROC Flag was used by China prior to 1949 and as we have vehicles used by the Republic of China (1928-1949), it should be in game.
The Nazi flag in game is available, Stylized. It is still representing the Third Reich, which was a Nazi state. So it IS represented in game, and therefore your point makes zero sense.
