I say 1928-1949 because 1928 is when the flag in question was introduced, not the country itself. The flag before 1928 was different.

Honestly I think they should also add back the other flags. Removing the russian empire navy, weimar and japanese war time flag has been pretty lame.

I apologize for my statement. What I mean is that the Republic of China was founded in 1911, and the Blue Sky and White Sun Flag was not originally his national flag. The Blue Sky and White Sun Flag originally existed as the party flag of the Kuomintang

You’re correct, that flag is the Beiyang government, which was the internationally recognized government of the Republic of China between 1912 and 1928.

The rising sun flag isn’t the japanese war tine flag. It’s the naval flag

Idk why many people said ROC is a sub-tree, it’s not. China tt don’t have anu sub-tree rn.

Also in response to this, I’d say just naming it “Republic of China” is gonna be what they do. Gaijin will probably not strictly refer to it as Taiwan, Republic of China (1911/1928-1949) as if they do then it commits to one side without committing to another.

If that makes sense? Fence-sitting the flag.

Believe me, when China’s technology tree develops a navy, the addition of the Zhenyuan and Dingyuan ships will bring the flag of the Qing Dynasty.LOL

He means thailand, thailand is a sub of Japan and is liable to get the VT-4 at some point

Actually, if people on the forum were to call themselves the Republic of China honestly, I wouldn’t have much aversion, but I really don’t understand why it’s called Taiwan. It’s the first time I’ve heard of using a province name to refer to a country

Scotland, England, & Wales are all legally countries. Lichtenstein is an actually country with foreign relations and that can fit comfortably within the M25 motorway that goes around london. San Marino is a hill, Monaco is a race track, and yet they have foreign relations & domestic policy like anywhere else. I don’t think either size or using the name of a province is any barrier to being known as a country.

He’s gonna flip when he finds out that a huge number of people refer to the Netherlands as “Holland” lmao

I understand ROC is not a sub-tree in the usual sense of the word, but I don’t know a more fitting term.

They are in the same tech tree but under the flags of the different political entities that operated them.

In that way, ROC is comparable to east german (DDR/GDR) vehicles in the German tech tree (where the east german flag is available as an option)

I should’ve used that as my example, imagine my shock finding out that “Holland” is just two provinces and not the entirety of Netherland. When I was young, I thought they were interchangeable!

According to the theory of that group of people who mocked Chinese players at the time, this is just a game, bro. Why involve so many political issues? Gaijin made changes, so just accept them, right?

For a lot of people (including a lot of Dutchies), they are!

I don’t care, gaijin can be kept or removed, but if it really has to be removed, please return my 500ge, because I actually bought it to stick on my CM11.

Well, because it is internally inconsistent is why

You don’t have to involve politics to see why excluding one particular operator nation’s flag is unfair

I’m just guessing that like Zulizila said, it’s just because they haven’t got the country flag coded for ROC/Taiwan and hopefully they add it eventually.
