Don’t take it personally, but… There are entire socio-humanistic disciplines/science vectors called heraldics and symbolistics, in touch with general history they will give you the answer why Japan did change things for the sake of changing things. By the way, that’s the American occupation regime in Japan flag, that somewhat is different from autohton “hinomaru”, and wasn’t a change for the sake of changing things:

To be honest, I’m ok even with that version (to be used for majority of Japanese machines, except 1945-1948 recommission ones). Gaijin wouldn’t go for such full historical accuracy - same story with Modern and Eltsynist Russia flag, where the priority is given to first.

Whats the going record of pings to get a CM to give a response but this topic has to be the record holder. No way Gaijin doesnt have an update at this point.

Actually, and forgive me for not posting any screenshots, I don’t know how those work, but I have seen the ROC army flag in the flag lineup on the top of the teams tab. Not the national flag, the army flag. But it is there, somehow.
Yes you can see ROCA on the top ,except( Simple Chinese UI and Traditional Chinese UI ) can,t see it .
Basic you can,t custom the ROCA on system.They reason is “ROCA”. They say ROCA is not the Nation flag . So they just remove form the system .You can see other sample like Japan flag. So question Why not add the “ROC” the Gaijin didn,t answer the reason until today

That’s more like a bug / malfunction as some flags of minor nations ocasionally and randomly tend not to display in battle stats. I had enough battles on English, Russian and Chinese UI in which ROC flag correctly displayed, and even more in which my custom flag (Syria) didn’t so.
Same for Russia, GDR, Portugal, Argentina, Spain, Columbia, Venezuela, etc. … By the way.

Displayed flag based on current vehicles in game.
You should operate a Syrian vehicle in game to show Syrian flag.
If a operator country not exist in game (like, be destroyed and respawn with vehicle from another country), the flag will be removed.

Yeah, but sometimes it didn’t display even when I was using TURMS or 22M3 directly in the battle. At first I thought it will work if I use Syrian vehicles too.
… +It mostly displayed when playing on other vehicles in the setup, even in battles where only me had TURMS or/and 22M3. I’m not on 100% sure, but have some suspicions this is a bug. Maybe it correlates with claimed by users intentional ROC flag removal (although I’ve saw it cca. 1-2 dozens times in ARB).
Not a “bug” If is a bug please fixed ! And add “ROC” ,if not add answer the reason.

I’m about flag “disappearal” you illustrated in this comment:

Basic the ROCA is “disappearal" from Any Chinese UI ,the blank space is not a bug , you can try on “Traditional Chinese” or “Simple Chinese” will see it .

This appears to be a screenshot from a custom multiplayer game. In regular matches with a Chinese interface, I either don’t see the R.O.C. flag, or I see a blank flag and the P.R.O.C. flag. I’ve also seen both sides have blank flags, but that usually happens to the side with Chinese vehicles.
Ok I finsih test ,now basic the ROCA is Replace flag to PRC.
Is a new big problem now . Yap the blank space is bug issule .
