It’s pretty clear that you and the people supporting your views don’t have the slightest bit of knowledge about the history of Taiwan, aside from the propaganda in your media.
I’m sure the irony is lost on you.

All the other nations and major operators/subtrees are represented by their national flag. Germany and ROC are the exception, and for no valid reason other than politics. So there is an inconsistency.
I’m not sure if you didn’t pick up on my level of English, or the style of writing, but I should clarify. If you are implying I also only have knowledge from state propaganda, well, I listen to the same propaganda that you do. If I derived my views in the same systematic fashion as you, I would completely agree with you.
You should provide evidence to discuss why it’s not appropriate to display the Republic of China flag, rather than just constantly saying that my country is bad.
RoC and PRC doing horrible things is irrevelant. Japan did horrible things and their flag is still in the game. Germany is an exception because of legal issues (And probably because gaijin wants War Thunder to be PEGI 13). RoC flag is the only one that cannot be used in this new feature. Every argument against having it or adding the correct national flag is politically motivated. You are angry because RoC exists. Thats your problem.
That would be political. I have tried, but moderators here removed numerous posts of mine I genuinely think are non-political. I don’t dispute their decisions, but this pattern has clearly sent a message which I will follow. Unfortunately, it seems that one opinion is favored over the other, which is natural given the leaning and background of many of the moderators here.
If nothing else, keep this in mind: the lack of visible dissent to this post is not from diverse community consensus or peaceful agreement, but of suppression. That, and fundamental biases in forum population. People tend to follow others in their groups blindly instead of independently verifying information, and such behavior is only natural for those who lack critical thought. That concludes my analysis on this matter.
Complains about suppression
Is in favor of suppressing things he dislikes
Many such cases.
[Your posts get deleted for being political. Maybe its because politics are irrevelant to the discussion? Food for thought.]
Currently there is no ww2 japanese flag in the game, only after ww2 flag
If you are referring to the removal of the rising sun flag with rays, then you’re mistaken. That was the war flag and ensign of the Imperial Japanese Navy.
The national flag of Japan during WW2 was a plain rising sun flag without rays, but in a darker shade of red than the 1999-today flag
Frankly I’m not sure if the current in-game flag of Japan is pre 1999 or not, as they’re so similar
The one we have now was the official flag of the state. Both were used by the military.

Ok, fair enough
then why did the devs take away the flag it makes no sense to do it then if its not political tho
Well, you have constantly been talking about how bad Taiwan is. Nevermind the fact that every argument you make is just “Taiwan illegitimate.” I mean, you even said that the flag itself violates the Gaijin TOS, stating that because Taiwan is not recognised, it cannot possibly be “Neutral”. I’m sure I don’t need to spell out why that is political.
You’ve repeatedly accused people of spreading hate and following propaganda.
You’ve been actively comparing a country (whether recognised or not) and it’s flag to the Nazis, generalised entire communities and even ignored talking to Taiwanese people after saying that this entire thread is filled with “Americans and other Westerners”.
While yes, other people have been responding to political arguments and not all have been taken down, each is to the discretion of a moderator. You have repeatedly insulted people and disregard any attempt to an apolitical discussion, so of course you’d be focused on.
You are now calling the moderators biased.
And you are now again insulting and accusing. You cannot be this blind.
They took it away because it is an army flag*. There are three countries without a replacement National flag currently: Republic of China (1912-1971), Republic of China (aka Taiwan, 1971-) and South Vietnam.
*Similarly to how the Imperial Japanese Naval flag was replaced with the National flag of Japan.
So uhhhh message mainly to the moderator…I just noticed something, “a staff member has locked this post from being edited”, and the edited out part which wasn’t done by me was at the start when I said:
“Wow so my post was deleted
Here it goes again:”
Is there an issue pointing out the previous reply I gave was moderated for an unclear reason? What even is the problem with that, I hope this message doesn’t simply get deleted for no reason as well. I’d like to know why my posts are moderated and my words edited against my will so I can at least avoid the same mistakes…??? Makes sense right?
so then why they take away us 50 star flag it make no sense on that and just give us the 48 star flag tho
Don’t question the mods, you’ll get a 3D/5D ban like I did for simply asking questions on why a post was deleted. Its part of their forum rules that you are not allowed to question any decisions a moderator has made.
The flag of the former Soviet Union may be included as an option alongside the flag of the Russian Federation.
Should this precedent be considered acceptable, then in accordance with the PRC government’s stated position that “the ROC only exists in history and has been replaced by the PRC,” allowing both flags to coexist as selectable options would be entirely reasonable.
Perhaps if Gaijin simply stated, “We decided to remove flags associated with the ROC to avoid offending the ‘massive‘ Communist Chinese (PRC) players base we’ve been actively courting and appeasing lately — even though we know that the PRC hasn’t denied the ROC’s historical existence. As for the ‘minority’ players who care about this flag, we couldn’t care less,” that would dispel the above arguments.
After all, players are well aware of Gaijin’s “commercial savagery.”
We should get an option to change chinas flag to tik tok logo.
Umm, you know, there were things that happened there in the 60-th that make 1989 look like child’s play.
