Crew Locks shouldn't apply to wing ripping

I crashed because of compression. But good for him if he was good enough to get on target having a aiming window of half a second.

Anyway, crew lock is not necessary.

It progressively lessens the time in match, and it equates directly to it.

If you die in the first 5 seconds? 9:55 lock.

If you die 5 minutes in on your first engagement? 5:00 lock.

If you intentionally slam into the ground, J out, or rip your wings as someone fired a SARH missile at you? 5-6 minutes.

If you happen to slam into the ground by accident in a dogfight almost 10 minutes in… <1 minute crew lock.

This really isn’t trivial. Just don’t die.

Then, why you don’t send clip or server replay?

Fly by wire and we still have wing rips.

This feature should be removed or reworked. So player know that his wing will fly away in sec or two. Now you can mouse turn and lose wings. Where 14G is all good pilot wise.

No crewlock after wingrip means trolls will happily wingrip themselves to avoid dying, since they can instantly go to the next match. Don’t believe me? Look at all the people who crash themselves on purpose after a bombing run.

It also means players who accidentally wingripped would be more likely to do it again, since they wouldn’t have to stop and think about why.

There are several ways to prevent wingrip. Don’t overspeed. Remove new boosters if your plane wingrips severely, and doesn’t need to pull a lot of high-speed G anyway. Tap neg-G when you enter a turn (or be careful of pulling negative G, like in the Su-7). Be especially careful on very low and very high fuel loads.

FBW only applies to Full-Real, in which I’ve never had issues with aircraft like the F-16C or Mirage 2000, two planes notorious for rips if you do a hard reversal with full pitch applied.

Learn the distinction between Instructor and FBW.

  1. Ppl already do this whenever they want, crew lock does not discourage.

  2. We already talked about this earlier, please go back and read it.

I did. Talking about something doesn’t mean you’re right.

??? No, you didn’t, because we already all agreed on a solution to the problem you bring up.
