You can be polite and atempt to, but thats it.
With the recent change to game sizes and the option to to have smaller games and or bigger gajin could do the same for era/historic settings.
The options are there, the vehicels are here. And as old as WT is it self, the request for such changes. There will plenty of players who will prefer it that way and can then finaly chose to play the way they like.

My suggestion would be squad44. But it seems that you want a tank only game? If you want immersion and historically mm, it is great for that. They have also been doing a lot of work on the damage models.
The side wanting to completely change the game is more rude than the side saying that the current game is pretty decent.

For my part I have definitely been somewhat less then civil, and I do apologise for that- I probably should have phrased a lot of my points more respectfully lol
Last time I checked the insides of the buildings were so ugly, that this one thing alone made me not buy it. The player count is also too low for me to spend so much money on the game I might not even end up liking. However, the graphics have gotten a little better it seems, I will consider it. Although the player count is still low.
It’s also an infantry-centered game. On the one hand it makes tank gameplay more realistic, with infantry, but on the other hand tanks usually were concentrated into tank divisions. At least that’s the experience I’m looking for, a tank division, rather than infantry support tanks like Stug 3s or Churchills.
War Thunder was a lot more historically accurate, but then it had a boom in player count more or less during the pandemic and suddenly it was more important to add new shiny toys with complete disregard for immersion.
Mainly because most players dont care about that immersion, and doing it let them add significantly more vehicles and nations, bringing more people in. A pure sim is in no way accessible or appealing to any sort of wider audience and they (Quite wisely), chose to instead use a ahistorical BR system to balance vehicles while keeping them as close to their irl counterparts in capability.
I for one would absolutely not have played the game you seem to be wanting, and the average player would hate it. It is much, much better for both the future of the game and its playerbase if it stays this way.

That is the big thing for me. Because this point makes it sound like “no one wants to play the kind of game i want to play so i want to force people into it by changing war thunder”
Depending on the time, there is usually a couple servers that are full. But due to my time zone, i miss the peak hours
To be fair, war thunder’s building are ugly too. The city maps have the same png on the inside.
They are adding more tanks which is nice. There are sometimes servers that are tank only too. You could also host a server like that. The tank only mode they have is very nice for what you are looking for.
