They were taken at the Gerotek Vehicle Test Facility. It used to be solely a military vehicle test circuit but I think with production winding down it has been opened to civilian use.
What’s your source for this?

The APDS is assumed as it uses the same gun as the Comet, the LRF did not exist on any of these pre-Class vehicles.

I not 100% sure on the LRF before the Class vehicles but I have been reading some speculation that the Cheetah Mk.2 got the same (or at least similar) gunner sight to the Olifant Mk.1A as there seems to be slight changes in the gunners sight shape

I think as well as a LRF or APDS, does need to compete with Hellcats, the sights also would probably be a 6x - 12x as well imo
