Chengdu J-10, History, Performance & Discussion

The YINGS is advertised to also work like an air radar with its EO function (that as a main function too). I don’t think it relies on some outside sensors, as those are not mentioned and the YINGS is specifically showcased for this. They also mention that it has situational awareness which just helps further with it’s overall detection. Imo I really doubt that AVIC would include those specific infos without mentioning that it needs to use sensors or something

It seems to me that the table with DIRCM does not apply to TGP - the picture shows a J-35 without a container, and the full video does not have this information

Because your video is a new one from 2024 it appears. The one I have shown is an old one when it was still called YINGS-III (without the A), therefore it would obviously have changes and certain things might not have been shown

What I have shown was the original one back in 2016. There were photos taken there, but to my knowledge no videos

It is currently unclear if MAWS can work directly with the targeting pod, or the targeting pod needs it’s own sensors. At the same time, considering if the targeting pod indeed has the IRCM/DIRCM capabilities, it’s limited pivot would mean it would work only from spesific angles.

We welcome any additional information that provides more clarity on the matter. Right now there is very little evidence the pod itself has the required elements for DIRCM functionality. But we will continue to investigate.

You don’t understand, the J-10C clearly doesn’t have an RWR or MAW

Do Gaijin have any plans to fix the modeling errors of the LS6 series bombs? The issue I submitted in the bug report Model Errors of the LS-6 Series Bombs has been locked, and the Reporting Manager provided no reason for the lock… This modeling problem is an objective fact.

all LDIRCM has limited field of view, especially the mi28/ka52(one of them) which only has it on the bottom, but somehow it works against top down missiles

So the j10c, like the j11a, exists only to feed other people, the so-called model modification, the working time is just an excuse, and it doesn’t even take a day to fix the radar and correct the thrust.

Calling j11a bad is insane. Best 13.3 in the game

I prefer the mkk tbh

Previously it was… Now it’s great since decompression and all that happened.

what???

Its a joke/sarcasm

This is such a bad take when we have helicopters with 360° spherical coverage from a single sensor on the bottom of the helicopter, (MI-28NM)

And other helis also completely ignoring deadzones and sensor amounts

actually not, but still larger than it should. currently Mi-28nm has a leak in top front

Cant say ive ever had a IR missiles hit a MI-28NM except FB-10A’s in DL+IOG

current MI-28nm player should almost all know this, so they can avoid this by lifting the head. in close range like GRB, the heli need to heading down to maker sure the missile getting into the blind area
