Well yes. The thing is Cr3 we have now is just new wersion of Cr2 LEP. But upgrades are 1500hp engine and transmission upgrade., stronger turret armor(new turret is not here yet), gen 3 commander driver and gunner thermals, lws, l55a1 smoothbore, aps. Hull armor is the same

It can have it. It is a what if situation. Just like all Cr2 can have enforcer or iron fist. But they do not have in game. Because it is possibility

DU penetrates deeper because of the way it ablates.
It “self sharpens” and shears when it erodes staying pointed, W mushrooms and increases its surface area at the tip reducing penetration capability.

This is of course minor differences. But technically relevant.

Yes according to primary documentation the Chobham turret of Vickers Mk7 is severely underperforming iirc

Starstreaks only work on helicopters occasionally. The proxy fuse just doesnt work on planes. I submitted a report and they were like “oh we know about it” from 2 months ago.

It lists the wrong maximum penetration and that’s slightly annoying, as the maximum is clearly 652 from their screenshot. 326x2.

Another big benefit is DU is pyrophoric, so it self ignites when fragments of it penetrate from the friction/energy of travelling through armour. Flash fires inside tanks/around ammo carousels is obviously not desirable. Pretty sure this effect isn’t modeled in game.

Its not modeled, but the du penetrator ablates into very fine dust that oxidizes with the oxygen in the air very rapidly getting up to thousands of degs.

The part about this game that still is so obnoxious is that CASELESS AMMUNITION has a FIRE CHANCE. The whole point is that the entire thing is highly flammable. There should not be a “ignition chance” when you hit the ammo. It should go boom. cough BVM cough
