Turns out CR3 torque converter has been installed on CR2 “Megatron”. that might be a possible ingame upgrade for TES/OES versions in the future, sadly no exact details are available

(2) FutureArmourLab on X: “#Challenger3 is coming… As part of development for CR3, #ATDUs CR2 #Megatron has had its TN54 transmission modified. Trials with @RBSL are occurring to test it’s reliability over long distance with & without extra load. If successful, this will be part of CR3s powerpack https://t.co/yFTfpRYZYY” / X (twitter.com)

Is this plate a bit too high?

@DevilO6 @Fireball_2020

Those are the flashing beacon (aka. “winky wonky”) and the meteorological sensor. The met sensor should be raised while the tank is at action, but the flashing beacon is only fitted on ranges to indicate the firing state of the tank to range control.

As in the bottom of the mantlet?

Bear in mind the 2nd 30mm layer below is shorter by a bit

I know the reason

The gun is being depressed in this picture, you can see how the mantlet is ‘behind’ the turret cheeks rather than in line with them like in these:

And here it shows what it looks like at a near 0° angle

This plate needs to be moved back or down a bit

is that on all challengers?, quite a big nerf from the current 3x-10x and 25->-7 degrees of FOV.
