The discussion was about Tank RB and Mixed RB. You brought up SB. I don’t know what you’re trying to say here.
Where are you getting mixed RB from? what Mix Rb?
He believes what SB has to spawn planes and helis with all loadouts at the start of a match should also be in RB
I told you it was only about a realistic mode with planes and tanks not the RB we have now. SB is not relevant to RB.

We used to have that was so much “fun” being bombed 30m from spawn at the beginning of the battle…
That is why a TO is needed first in order to implement that.
Why ground need air cover at start of match
Probably, Idk if he knows that Mix RB means all nations vs all nations like in AB which we sometimes get in RB battles. Mix RB doesn’t mean all planes/tanks/helis in a match.
Anyhow, all im just stating is that the one circled in green already exist in SB, don’t need to bring that in RB as it will just make GRB worse. It will just add even more power to CAS in GRB, a buff.
It would be nice to be able to spawn aircraft labeled as fighters, without any ordinance, in place of SPAA to further aid in the fight against CAS, for cheaper than CAS and the current cost. Like CAP status.
Yes which would lead to a plague of strafing open-top TDs and light tanks that are bad enough to play already.
Instead of making fighters cheaper it should be more that ordnance is more expensive so that an early shoot-down forces the CAS player out of the match.
Also, aircraft rewards in GRB are beyond miserable, so rewards for airplane shootdowns should be buffed while rewards for destroying tanks remains the same. I am tired of hopping in a plane, shooting down 4 enemy aircraft and getting pennies.

I don’t think there is a solution that solves everything. But encouraging the use of fighters as CAP has to be part of the solution.
Part of the reason that so many attack aircraft are in GRB is because they have no place on ARB.
As worthless as it is to bring a B-17 into a ARB fight, taking a dive bomber is usually more pointless. You generally have less bombs than a level bomber, and the reward for killing a single bunker or heavy AI vehicle is pathetic.
Part of game design is assuming the players are all malicious and intend to exploit game design loopholes in any way possible. These players have an effect even on people who are playing the game normally, which means we must always take a look at the worst case scenario.
CAS isn’t going to change, and ground mains are going to keep coping about it. In the current state of the game, you can’t deal with it in a tank, or in a WWII SPAA. The most effective way to deal with CAS is and presumably always will be to hop in a fighter and be your team’s sky angel.

Easiest and best option is:
Have Mixed battles (like they already do) but then ground only mode (as in… NO fuggin planes, of any kind or helicopters)
Next easiest options are:
Greatly increase the cost to spawn planes, and/or limit how many can be spawned (both at a time and from each player, like 2 spawns max, etc)
Also decrease the damage of all armaments of aircraft, they simply do Way too much damage, too reliably
There are about 10 others, but those are the major ones.
Honestly, just takes time to learn how to play WWII SPAA. I find them extremely effective and simple to do.
I think you got this the wrong way round, many goto ARB just to spade. I was in a match yesturday and there was only 2 fighters, me and another guy on our team eveyone else in the match was either bomber or cas
But it would also lead to more people first-spawning SPAAG (Like Myself, as I am an AVID SPAAG PLAYER), which would help balance if not solve the problem that is created in itself.
Of course, I also hope Gaijin increases rewards for shooting down planes with Ground Vehicles, that would also help (the rewards are pitiful) (I cannot grind top tier US with the ADATS) (It is sad)
When people speak of rewards do they mean SL, RP, or SP, or even score?; each player will have their own idea here I believe.
With regards to maybe the most important one while spading a vehicle, RP, then is it not linked more to activity/activity time than individual kills? If this is the case then a more creative solution just for SPAA needs to be worked out as it is not as simple as increasing a mulitiplier for SPAA only (unless it is?).
I do recall scorewise a few air kills in a aircraft nets a tidy profit (easier than SPAA for more SP cost), so not sure why this does not reflect in SPAA (SL is quite good too), other than SPAA being more difficult to achieve (outside of TD duties).
Sadly from the last few years rewards are not always the main thing guiding player action (apart from maybe the general call for RP increases across the board in ground).
They’ll never make Ground only. It would make SPAA and bombers both pointless, and no one would play mixed matches.
Yes, dying to CAS sucks, but if you keep pining for things that’ll never happen you’re going to be forever disappointed.
Having CAP is a solution to fight CAS. Especially when there isn’t a viable SPAA available at that BR for your nation.
