another thing that’s a problem in the AA play style is sometimes there’s nothing to do and it’s boring so then some people just leave their vehicles to get into something else to fight tanks so I think a motivation so a idea that I have so people stay in their AAs is passive AA income so how passive AA income whould work is it would give you a small reward for how long you stay alive continuously like a minute or 2 but to prevent people from spawning AA at the start of the match and AFK-ing is so that it only starts after you have downed your first aircraft giving people an incentive to stay in there AA
sometimes, though it shouldn’t be an issue since there is always CAS being used according to many players here. There are a few boring matches when no CAS is used or just a few. But most of the time, I will see CAS.

Effectively this whole topic is “SP is too easy to accrue in context of spawning ground attack capable aircraft”.

Maybe Planes should be removed from ground battles and AA Tanks should move to Air battles. Because I often get bombed if I try to recapture a point and because to capture area of the point is so small it’s almost impossible to miss your target when you are dropping a bomb.
I know a very drastic idea but you nearly can’t do much if a bomb land close to you.

Are planes up? No, then freely cap but be aware of ambush.
Yes, touch the cap and make them drop on the cap blindly as you sneak off and cap when safe. Not perfect, not 100% but might help.
But you aren’t supposed to be able to. You mainly stop the enemy by shooting them down. You of course are limited at that moment being ground but the matches are 25 mins and 16 per side. Fortunately SP costs are low so a new vehicle can be fielded.
I feel it is how those making this game made the mode and they expect players to work it out.
Why repeat? Last time when all the past conversations/ideas were brought to the table the reply was “I was only joking”. (i.e. there is no “argument”, it has been pointed out before to be a poor comment)

Yes I get the point with the awareness. I already tried that but unfortunatly my Tiger 2 (H+P) are too slow for this and are that big that they get spotted very easily. Therefore it often also happens near the spawn where I can’t really hide from planes because of the limited spawning area and the too little spawn protecting. Not the planes fault at this point but more of the lack of spawnprotection. That’s why I mentioned removing planes from ground battles would be very drastic.
Yeah, what I mentioned is to help but by no means enfallible.
A good number of these just aren’t effective at their BR: Type 93 (arguably), Skink, ADATS, Rolands, Bosvark (I assume)
Having effective and viable SPAA is incredibly important, and for most trees there are massive gaps either in SPAA in general or viable SPAA.
I can’t speak about the Skink, ADATS and Bosvark, but since the manpads buff, the Type 93 has become quite good and I never felt underpowered in the Roland.
The Rolands generally just do not perform as near as to what they should, from what I’ve heard.
Type 93 can do a lot better compared to the past 4 years since its addition thanks to the rework. Wanted to play a few games on it before I can say its good. Though easy to dodge its missile due to 10G pull and smoke trail it leaves behind, players tunnel visioning to use AGM become easy targets and still not notice the missile coming. Hoping Gaijin adds the newly improved Type 93 missiles that’s smokeless and has better lock soon for it. That Ayit had GBUs, maybe AGM and guess what, it died before it can drop its load to score big kills lol I legit saved my team from CAS this game…completely.
As for the SPAA, they all can score kills, just takes time to learn the shells velocity and lead. Some are better than others by a long shot, but still doable. I’m willing to play the Skink if one wants me to do so just to prove a point. Roland can also turn off their Radar to avoid detection and use IRST to lock on targets they are looking at, though they also need practice to use properly like any other vehicle.
And yea, I agree, which is why I promote the use of SPAA more and help tankers realize how critical these needed SPAA are.
regarding the 1 death leaver thing, i usually do it when i have to grind a specific vehicle’s modules, and i’m willing to bet i’m not the only one
regarding the issue at hand :
- as someone said earlier, id’ implement TO as a temporary mode, a bit like they did for fox 3s but on the live server and for a longer period of time
- if it works, implement it
- regarding combined arms, i wish they could make it evolve, such has having a large map (120x120km at top tier) with different fighting areas and objectives, areas for SPAAs only, so that they can concentrate on their job, rewards for shooting down enemy missiles and bombs, and why not, in the future, modern ships with serious SAMs, so that plane have to calculate their attack run a bit more carefuly. Also, reducing SP cost for fighter with AAM only.
Problem might be technical however, having 32 or 64 players on huge maps like this might be too much for the hamsters (although it works for customs, so idk)
One of the problem with spaa is the abysmal rewards for killing planes.
You get more score for shooting down recon drone than cas - wtf is this joke… So ppl rather go to kill tanks than air.
That’s a player choice issue.
