I have become a master of the CAS dodge but only when there is cover. I love CAS but I also have seen the other side. It’s rare to get a game with no planes but what a game it is. My only concern with a TO GRB mode is that I would never leave the house.

yea im against cas on current sized maps but for it on a open map thats when combined warfare would shine AND be fun too

Now they accuse me of other things or just saying that my stats/games don’t matter as I’m not an ordinary player ;)

I think in some ways CAS is the only thing that makes the BR system work otherwise its the veteran in a full down tier getting 12 for 0 every game. Its only that no skill random element that alters that outcome. At top tier how do you even justify an new NATO tank against old Russian tech without a random big bomb to equate it all?

WT does sadly have some big glaring faults masked by other elements of the gameplay.

Well call me old fashioned but I take my advice from experts :) I have done 3 years not 12 ,I am not at the top of the pile but some are and its those guys who I listen to.

Saying that ,there are some who fail even after thousands of games to see the wood for the trees as they say. All aspects of this game need to questioned and combined arms is no different.

i just see this game becoming 12 years old and still not utilizing its full potential opting for a design to get people to spend money given its free (i said it before its gaijins business and its FREE) but that catch is causing harm in my opinion (lack of a experience and fun)

I think that GRB TO would be a good move irrelevant of the CAS/TO argument and as a CEO or Chief Dev or whatever I would prioritize it over night battles or even Naval.

If GRB TO WT came into being I fail to see the reason for WoTs existence I really do.
I think all the traffic on Reddit and Steam support this theory.

I think we should see the Combined Arms and TO variants as friends not enemies and the combined aim is to make WT number one with no sharing of fanbase.WoT gets spanked end of.

Players love the WT kill system, they hate the gold ammo and the spotting mechanism not to mention the artillery debacle they have in WoT. Only complaint in a head-to-head is CAS as a negative for WT, ditch that its game over. But you dont ditch it you keep it and it becomes a plus not a negative.
It’s there for the taking

So what is your thoughts on what makes planes overpowered or unbalanced in ground? Would you think that fighter planes (and attackers, with a spawn point difference) with no ordnance would be more acceptable in ground due to the skill level that would be required to make gun only kills. Would you think that bombs should require a much better performance to be available to a spawning plane? Would you think that a higher skill ceiling for aircraft to get ground kills would be an overall improvement for mixed battle?

@ULQ_LOVER Would either of you think fighters (and fighters only) spawning with only guns for a first spawn (similar to helicopters) would be more acceptable than the current system where one can be spawned with ground orndnance after a single kill or base capture? Would either of you think that fighters should require more spawn points for ground attack ordnance when compared to strikers because they can more effectively fight other planes?

Also @ULQ_LOVER if you would like to respond to the initial questions I posed to him as well I would be interested in your answers too.

I would like to leave these questions open to anyone. All I ask is that you be respectful and keep in mind I here to gather information. Please do not start arguements with people answering the questions I’m asking. I am putting forth alot of effort in order to get this information while tiptoeing around the prolification of CAS/Anti-CAS posts to formulate a solution.

As I have said,

open top and lightly armored tanks (not to mention mediums and heavies depending on MGs of aircraft) can be destroyed by pure fighters (and they don’t have to use anti-tank belt).

No matter what changes come, there always will be unbalance as air will always have the upper hand over ground units.

No problem, for me changes (without implementation of TO) are only going to anger both parties (ones liking flying and pure tankers) even more as it will never satisfy any of them.

If planes were not an advantage in warfare then they would not have been Implemented. Its like asking what advantages a tank has over a man on a horse.

Its pretty obvious but what about a man on a horse with an RPG or Stinger? its all irrelevant. Nothing to do with skill or being overpowered or underpowered.

WT is a game or Rock, Paper, Scissors and the issue is that most of the player base on the forum can’t understand that.

What makes a game fun is an entirely different subject, nothing to do with skill or what the game has always been. Saying the game has always been combined arms is like saying no we have had horses for thousands of years we don’t want a combustion engine thanks.

Ignore the old arguments lets move forward.
