So you killed him, he saw where you are in killcam, so he hopped in a plane and went there and you were still close enough to your original position for him to find you easily. Its much easier for him to beeline to known enemy position rather than finding new targets. Simple as that!
He simply used his knowledge of your position to score a kill. If you follow whats happening on modern battlefields, its all about finding enemy and bomb/strike them, nothing strange about that. Real life tankers often mention being taught the basic tactic of shoot and move. And this is something Warthunder managed to recreate in its battles.
Cause they died and are salty about it while abusing some camper spot, so its natural the aircraft comes to remove them from their advantageous position to help his team. But according to these people, the plane just abused them and it should cost atleast half of SP of a nuke and even then they´d complain.
Id add to this that being competent in a tank is honestly easier and a much softer learning curve than being competent in an aircraft.
Sure spawning a plane and dropping a bomb before lawn darting is easy. But spawning a plane, and then engaging in either CAS or CAP and surviving against enemy ground and air threats? That becomes extremely difficult and the learning curve for being a good pilot is exponentially harder.
Indeed the problem is the game does not fully cater to a specific type of player outside of its already explained modes. And why should it?
It would be nice: Sure!
Does it have to exist (catering): No!
To say those saying “use a plane” and to then be seen as part of the problem (which this thread so far has produced no information on the premise of the topic, aka “bone thrown”) is rather reductive since we know it works.
All tools are available so try and use them. Lack of using tools has resulted in a worse in-game experience for all. Until Gaijin provide a different game mode to make it worse for all by ignoring obvious player actions is just negative and so why fair enough arguments actually turn to the “whine” negative.
Does this automatically mean a new mode (different topic I know) is required? No.
Differing discussions need to be separate regarding different sections of the game. I have always thought it helpful to not have too sweeping a statement when the game varies throughout tiers. But often my view on seeing the differences (pros and cons) of the slightly different areas of the game are rejected. Yet then you see the idea repeated here by two wanting changes to aircraft in GFRB… hmmm…
You should be able to see in the stat screen (mid-match, after said actions taken) where score has come from (hits/crits/assists/being shot) and maybe work out where the SP is coming from? Of course this is lost at the end of a game due to all actions added after that point.
Only costs 150 to spawn a ground vehicle though (down to 70). Maybe reduce the SP accruement for ALL actions then? This won’t stop “scout > SP reduction” which was added a while back (doubling down on what Gaijin think of aircraft which should have been absorbed by players, but players are not always very bright) but it will reduce the ability to respawn in air (and limit re-runs if destroyed: risk v reward) since already spawning a second ground unit is very very easy (slow SP, unless you are a 1 vehicle lineup player and in that case no one cares for you (general you, not you)).
So maybe the move should be to reduce all SP earnings, make the game more tactical and reward v risk?
Maybe it was a full uptier and my tank took many hits, I remember taking hits also gives you SP, I just played a match with 1 assist and after death I already have 504, just 40 away from spawning the D-R1
