Calling a base does not mean it's yours

Easiest by far, though there are faster ways to generate score

This is my average issue, playing the A32A, which has a long TO run and long landing run, it gets no strike aircraft air spawn dispite being in constant upteirs against MiG-21’s and various other op Russian and American aircraft (F-104A/C’s). The “reason” it gets a airfield spawn is simply because of its afterburner if I remember right, it used to get air spawn. But like most Swedish 8.0-9.3 aircraft, they are subsonics, and the only way to take out the SuperSonics without getting out-turned at low speeds is not engaging, which they will just catch up, and the only real counter is missiles, which can easily be evaded by flares. I get outrun by big, bulky, vatour aircraft, and can’t do anything about it, and they are non afterburning.

Doesn’t really apply to the topic here, as we’re talking about Sim, where everyone starts with a cold&dark bird every take off…

Oh, I’m sim battles it’s usually no problem unless someone friendly mistakes a nation specific plane, I don’t have very much air sim experience, if none at all, and that does indeed not matter in this case.

Well, if you like the A32, I recommend using it in Sim EC during rotations with EC6 at BR 8.0-9.0. With napalm you can reliably kill a whole base each sortie…

Thanks for the tip. I’ve been looking to get a Sim setup, I’m thinking of the Logitech x52 or x56, would you recommend anything?

I used to have the X52, but since my Falcon4 times have swiched to Hotas Cougar and later Hotas Warthog by Thrustmaster.

To start with, the X52 is certainyl a good option.

If you’re however serious with flying on PC, you may think about getting a head tracker licke TrackIR as well, and pedals.

And - probably the most important improvement of all - a VR set!

Getting the Oculus Quest2 a year ago was what brought me back t o flight simming, and I’d never part with it.

But obviously it’s also a matter of how much in terms of funds you can put into this hobby… = /

Thanks, I wish I could put more money to all of my gaming, but that would not be the smartest money move right now.

Hah, I feel you - was there too for a long time…

Since I’m cheap as non family friendly word and not sure I want to get in to this, thoughts on LOGITECH EXTREME 3D PRO?

Would it do basic job of just flying around in sim? :D

Ig you could use it. I have one but laptop makes it really annoying to use so I just stopped using it tbh. Would do the job good enough on a PC though.

Got it, thanks.

Decided to buy it instead of learning air sim on keyboard, lol

Nice! Hope you enjoy it

And this is why people complain the game is hard, because of selfish players like this. No teamwork, no coordination and no respect for others. You realise if you got bombs you too can call a base.

I find this mentality usually comes from people who never played bombers in lower tiers and learned the etiquette and get into it from premium high tiers and never put in the time to u derstand the bomber pilots struggle.

I played my tech trees by spading and working my way up the tree. I play all aircraft roles, and know what it’s like to play SimEC at all BR ranges.

My advice comes from actually playing the mode as bombers, strike fighters, and fighters. It’s not selfish to refuse to give in to entitlement.

Like I said in another post. If somebody calls a base that I’m closer too, I’ll give them the courtesy to let them know my location, and that I’m taking the base if I’m closer than them.

Your description is literally self entitlement say what you want to make yourself feel better about it but it is selfish, ruins the fun of your team mates, makes them lose on rp and sl and can lose yourself the battle.

So wait. If I’m 5km from a base, and some kid on the airfield calls a base that he’s 20km from, I’m the selfish one?..

Stop with the victimhood. I’m the one actually contributing to the team win, not the base callers that take longer to get the job done.

Why is it so hard to click the base yourself? Then your not being a selfish team mate and there is no issue. Problem solved. Not doing so shows you ha e no consideration for your team mates and basic courtesy. The definition of selfish behaviour.

Scroll back up and read slower. 🤦‍♂️

I did read. Call it when you fly out, don’t wait till so. E one else has already chosen the spawn and found a flight path and had the courtesy to call it. It’s basic courtesy, your just being selfish by not following the custom that you yourself understand yet somehow refuse to do. Again, the definition of entitlement and selfish behaviour
