Call of the Dragon: Earn the Object 292!

Honestly, the goal should be getting a vehicle for yourself.
Any movement that reduces the amount marketplace players the better IMO.
This topic made it VERY obvious to me how dangerous the mentality of marketplace playing is.

The predatory system of buyable tradable coupons did its job so well that there’s a dangerous atmosphere around the activity of playing-buying to trade rather than playing to enjoy.

I don’t think that the marketplace is that bad. It gives people the opportunity to grind a vehicle, if they have the time, and sell it if they don’t want it. They can then use that money to buy another vehicle that they missed or buy their way through an event that they don’t have the time for.

Honestly, the goal should be getting a vehicle for yourself.

Okay, lord of “correct” goals, thank you for the wisdom.

Meanwhile, the full event is 70% harder than before for no good reason, as stated. Which is absolutely bonkers and they can get bent, as stated.

No, the event is allegedly 12.5% longer.
360,000 needed mission score after multipliers.
One more stage if you really like the loading screen.

I mean this is strictly untrue.

Last event was 1 200 000 mission points. Where it was 120 000 per 2 days to do the “Full event”.

And as outlined in the post about future events, they want to make people be able to get every vehicle and not have to pick and choose. So while im not entirely sold on the current values being correct, the overall amount of stuff needed to do the “full event” Is less

The FULL event, doing everything you can do in the event, everything presented to players by the designers as available, is 70% longer. Sellable coupons is part of the event, it is the highest final step designers chose to include. And is not a new feature either, it’s directly 1:1 comparable with the final highest step of previous events going back years.

There is no reason for you to just arbitrarily draw a line partway through the event and say “Okay nothing past this counts” other than to try and apologize for and suck up to Gaijin for some reason.

What I said was objectively correct regardless, whatever your bizarre motivation is.

Then don’t go after the tradable coupon…
The full event is to the tank, the loading screen is a bonus.
Making it harder to get rid of the tank is a good thing IMO.
Maybe it shouldn’t be 750,000, but it certainly shouldn’t be as low as 450,000.

Not sure why you’re drawing an arbitrary line at the tradable coupon when the main prizes of events were always the vehicles themselves.

Honestly they would be much better of if they exchanged the tradeable upgrade for a event vehicle swap of equal rank/BR or similar. i get the tradeable version if i don’t play that nation or don’t like the vehicle just to be able to sell it and use the GJN for a vehicle i actually do want. so why not make it so that instead of trading at the market you can exchange the vehicle for another one?

Honestly the best idea I’ve heard. I’ll write that down.

A moderator already described this as infeasible because it “defeats the entire purpose of the marketplace [thus is not even fit to post in the suggestions forum for discussion]”: Is the suggestions section really useful? - #27 by GracingLily in response to my having submitted almost this exact suggestion.

She was “not sure why this is so difficult to grasp”, if you were in the mood for some extra patronization on top of your idea being rejected.

Mine was actually MORE limited, even, I was only suggesting being able to swap it out for other similar event vehicles from similarly grindy/similar types of events, not just any old thing at or below the BR, etc. Obviously not good enough of a compromise by miles.

that’s just weird… the marketplace should be for cosmetics. not functional things. VERY few games that i know of have actual functional items in their marketplace…

As expected tbh.
Another cashgrab that makes people with a life outside WT pay up for it.
Absolutely idiotic

@A_Cute_Chihuahua
i just answered the mods post (Is the suggestions section really useful? - #27 by GracingLily) with information on EU commerce law. will be interesting to read the answer.

Okay im interested, what part of this event is a cashgrab compared to the last one or the one before that?

Because this is seemingly intentionally lowering the amount of sales profit for Gaijin on the Gaijin market.

I suppose the 5k extra missions points might get some more GE sales, but likely nowhere near the amount lost caused by people nolonger being able to spend GE to get the last stage to sell on the market.

This is the opposite of a cashgrab as far as i can tell.

So we got a rank 7 tank so what are the chances of them bringing in a event F-16.

YF-16 with Aim-9J could be possible as an event vehicle at some point.

Tho for the time being it would probably be too high of a BR for that to happen.

Yea is this is our first reward it won’t take long at all though part of me will think that the chinese leak A-6 will be the next one

Are you guys being funny? Haven’t you considered people who don’t have time to play events but want to get vehicles? What is the concept of 750,000 points. 405,000 points to play the vehicle for personal use, and the points for selling the vehicle should be doubled? Do you want players to get better vehicles or do you want players to stop them from getting vehicles?

Love the changes, now instead of average 40 GJN value of crafting event vehicles,i can now much more GJN as due to the requirement to sell being twice as much, the value will be way higher. Cant wait to sell this thing in a year for 800 GJN or more.
