Broken HUDs (+HMDs + Cockpit MFD Issues)

More issues found and added to the topic, new reports are:

HUD:
F-16C HUD, Flight Performance, and System Inaccuracies
A-10C EEGS doesn’t work in cockpit
[DEV] A-10C missing target point information on HUD
Eurofighter missing EEGS in Cockpit Sight / Head Up Display
F4 EJ KAI missing lead indicator from HUD
AMX no gun lead indicator on HUD
AMX HUD has no Target Lock box
AMX Missing Radar target lock box in HUD
HUD rendering incorrectly after radar locking a target
JH-7A Missing CCRP HUD Indicator(Dumb Bombs and Guided Bombs)

Cockpit:
Exterior cabin is poorly modeled Kfir.10Block 60

HMD:
HMD targeting bugged when using free-look

MFD:
Rafale C F3 unable to change 4th and 5th MFDsAMX MFD no option for Thermal image from TGP

The compass is bad but so is this (I had to back out to see the image but you can see something’s wrong with reflections in some aircraft instruments):

Ah yeah didn’t mean fixed for that report, was meant to just be for the Kurnass 2000 and Rafale reports said they are fixed when they are not.

It’s also worth to mention that premium planes such as F20 and Mig23ML also have issue with disappearing HUD when using VR which is unbelivable. How can this company ask to pay 70£ for a plane which has issues? Do they perform any testing before releasing new vechicle? They should really take a break for next 6 months, stop any work on mew vechicles and finally fix the game.

Also none of radar gunsights work they calculate something extremly wrong for except top tier. Many planes that should have gyroscopic sights just have static image. Also to me it seems like default eye position way too low in many cockpits for example in Super Mystere B2 it feels too low to me it feels like eyes are in chin and when you put it at around where eye level should be you can no logner see sights.

The OP references the MiG-23ML, but the F-20 isn’t mentioned. However, I’ve personally experienced the issue with the F-20, and a friend who also purchased this plane has faced the same problem. I’m not sure if creating a new bug report would be worthwhile, as it might be dismissed since a report already exists. It seems like this is a general VR issue affecting most planes.

I have recently obtained the A-10C and except obviously wrong placement of pilot camera another issue which drives me crazy is functionality of the HMCS.

HMSC should provide seamless experience like in DCS:

But in WT it does not work in the most important area around the HUD, due to incorrectly set occlusion zones. So HMCS works only when looking like 25deg off bore and more. HUD does not show the datalink data either.

I would like to ask if we can ask for an update on viewing reports? Specifically regarding VR-related bugs as they are the most troublesome for the community trying to enjoy virtual reality ( Making it almost impossible to have a fair fight with non-VR players. ) , and also for the fact that the list of VR bugs is relatively short and most of the bugs have been accepted a long time ago. @tronexer @Smin1080p_WT @Stona_WT

I am particularly saddened by the fact that bugs concerning the same problems but occurring outside of VR are being fixed much faster than those in the virtual reality category. Here are some examples:

I’d like to highlight the Eurofighter’s HUD radar symbology being broken in VR. This is not a minor inconvenience, it’s a very obvious bug that makes the plane largely unplayable in VR unless you’re okay with symbols that are supposed to be informative instead randomly flying around in front of your face while you try to play.

So I hopped into the F-15E today… at the first glance:

  • Bore sight marker in the middle of the HUD (tactical face palm)
  • HMD does not work in frontal hemisphere (second tactical face palm)

Is the F-15E Early Access vehicle ?
Otherwise nice HUD and MFDs to not be just negative.

That’s not a bug and can be set back to the gun sight

All you need to do is hit the key bind you have for exit selected weapons mode and it will restore it to default.

Which is really not ideal if you use “primary weapon fire” keybind as I do.

Also its a right old faf if you want to swap between bombs and guns rapidly.

No, it is simple a bug that did not exist before they introduced automatic sight mode swapping
