like bro, artillery system is so needed, these artilleries are made out of papers and slow asf and big like they are not made to fight in close range
I’d like to know, how would you implement such a system?
something like world of tanks but probally harder
coordinate input system first of all, lower propellant load shells second of all
Never played WoT so i will see a video about it
And then? Maps are way too small for artillery system to be used like artillery
no, maps are perfectly sized, wot maps are even smaller and the system works well, of course there in wt are too bigger maps
as a GRB tourist, no they aren’t.
low propellant shells allow you to arc shots without having them spend 15 years on a ballistic trajectory, and more often than not you can find some nook or cranny of the map you can tuck away in and fire from.
Sure, stuff like bmp can be used since they do have low velocity shells, but i’d like to see you do that while using vehicles like Pzh2000, m109a1, Vidar etc in current map size
Besides, IIRC that was the official reason why Artillery system don’t do Artillery
are you even reading this thread?
low propellant shells will solve the entire issue of map size being too small and shells arcing too high
Maps shouldn’t be this tiny to begin with, but that’s what the playerbase is used to. With these vehicles we should be shelling across kilometers, not tens of meters through building windows. I’ve put out a discussion thread about doing a true combined arms EC on the air maps to see if people would want it.
whats the muzzle velocity with lower propellant amounts? travel time? they might be feasible on large, open maps against stationary vehicles but a decent chunk of maps in this game are small and/or urban, and unlike WoT there are other ways to deal with stationary/camping vehicles so there’s nothing to really push it as something that’s needed
the muzzle velocity and travel time scales down with lower propellant loads
artillery is meant to be shelling a larger area anyways not trying to dink people on the head with indirect fire
My bad, didn’t understand that you were suggesting on adding low propellant shell
i said 3 separate times that lower propellant shells will solve issues before you realised
ich liebe dich
i don’t speak german
i love you
well yeah but there’s a minimum amount that will need to be in the breech, not all systems have modular propellant available and regardless there will be a minimum muzzle velocity that each system can achieve with whatever is available, and i doubt many militaries will have put resources into making charges to enable 300-2000m indirect fire
edit: if I’m remembering right the 155mm modular charge system is intended to use a minimum of 3 modules? but its been a little while since i looked into it
