Indeed, also a sea search mode with Sea Eagle
Yeah, those would be fun to have
Funny as the production lines existed before Canada had to buy any of them.
Valentine: Canada never bought any; the few it did have came from its production.
Hurricanes: Canada was requested to build these long before it had any in service.
Shermans: Canada has only bought 1 Sherman, the M4A2E8 after WW2.
Fun Fact: Canada didn’t buy next to anything in WW2. It’s why it has no WW2 debt.
CF-101B, CF-188(80s-90s) and CT-155. 3 aircraft that are C&P post WW2, the rest unique variants/modifications.
The said person who said that is also a Canadian-hating German main, who will take any chance to harm Canadians for wanting a home.
The LAVs are Canadian as it based on the Swiss Piranha, not is the Swiss Piranha two different vehicles.
Hate to break it to you. He doesn’t have it out for Canada, it’s just matter of fact that the LAV is built off of a Swiss Piranha
Again design and production rights
You have never seen his comment in the Canadian TT thread.
Also, “Based on” does not equal “the exact same”.
The rights that were given to Canada for FREE? Canada did not ask to build them; Canada was requested to build them.
Also, licensed built leads to variants not C&P, unless the Sherman Firefly is C&P, they aren’t either.
I wouldn’t mind seeing the Leopard 1C and variants in the UK TT (those are unique enough from my perspective, and cool as flip), but honestly, before adding any Leopard 2 they should fix the Chally. also, isn’t the ADATS in the US TT? What would they do, make it another “shared” vehicle?
I don’t see a Canadian subtree in the UK as a bad addition, but the issue is the way Gaijin implements subtrees. Just like they did with BeNeLux; Spammed Leopard 2s and called it a day, completely ignoring other relevant and interesting vehicles that would’ve brought a refreshing experience in the case of France.
I’ve reached UK 8.0 on GRB and I can say it’s miserable, it needs sum buffs.
The ADATS in the US tree is the US prototype; well, the UK has the Canadian service variant.
Commonwealth Leo 1s wouldn’t be too bad right now, I agree, as they wouldn’t be a band-aid fix.
Tho if the sub-tree were added better in the first place(like Nation folders), they wouldn’t be a problem, and failure of a system. So we can agree on that.
Personally. I find thats the Centurions and APDS to blame. I found it got a LOT better when I got the Chieftains and the Chally 1s are quite solid (though still underperforming)
That 6.0 - 8.3 range is a “marmite” bracket. You either love it or hate it. Personally, I hated it and still dont play those tanks
Its a shame the community voted against APHE being balanced
But the tree basically ends at 10.7, and even then. 10.3 is so much nicer as you arent uptiered every single match.
Chally 2s are just unplayable
What Britain honestly needs currently is the Ajax ifv added and the challenger 2 armour and L27A1 pen fixed plus add L27A1 anti era tip then maybe add Challenger 3 Prototype 4.
I would love to see are AH-64E Apache added with JAGM but would also love to see it with Brimstone 2 which can engage targets from a helicopter from 40km and is smart enough to hit the weak parts of a tank like in 1 test it hit the turret ring in a very aggressive shot. But it would be a while before we even would see the mmw F&F brimstone 2 the best we would see currently is the SAL version of Brimstone 2.
i dont hate canada, its just not sustainable in the current game, i totaly understand the want.
but its just not workable
i only ever said the lavs are based on swiss piranhas, lavs are canadian.
I just said gajin logic they could put themn into gajin.
Its totaly possible for gajin to pull that move.
Personaly i completly support UK receiving the LAV vehicle, likely the only real modern vehicle i do support (that comes to my mind) that is honest canadian development and production.
That being said on the other hand 1 LAV would allow canadians a canada line up with the 2a4m can.
Or if its enough for them just use the swiss piranha once those get added.
Whenever that happens
no thats just your personal opinion of me.
I only ever stated the sustainable side from gajin, that canada just wouldnt make money for them and is unlikely to happen.
Besides that i dont support UK getting every MBT of the world, but thats understandable
It will already get Uk challengers, Russian T- series. With canada and australia leoaprds and abrams would come on top. just no
We already have several options for domestic direct equivalents to basically every variant of the Leopard 1, based on tanks already in-game that would take very little to implement.
Vickers Mk 1 (Improved) - Fast, stabilised 105mm platform with a laser rangefinder
Vickers Mk 3 (Improved) - Even faster, stabilised 105mm with a LRF and APFSDS
Vickers Mk 3 (M) - Same as the Mk 3 Improved but with thick layer of ERA and a dozer blade.
Leopard C1 (Royal Ordnance Improved Weapon System) - A Canadian Leopard C1 modified by Royal Ordnance with an absolutely maxed out 105mm.
There’s literally zero need for a Canadian flagged Leo 1 in the tree at all. We have domestic alternatives, that, like I said, are based on hulls that we already have in game so would take little effort from gaijin to implement.
well no, thats not necessarily the wish of the UK players, a lot of them likely would prefer vicker variants.
The leopard requests come from the canadians that want all their stuff in one tree or rather not see them implemented at all
Oi, we build the LAV family in Canada, it’s not Swiss
“General Dynamics Land Systems – Canada”
Funny, that doesn’t sound swiss
We don’t buy them from Switzerland, we build them, we upgrade them…
Maple leaf quality 🍁
With swiss origin, we both know for gajin that could be enough justification, even if we dont want to.
Ah, a subsidiary of an american company! Into the US tree it goes!
Close, if you actually read it properly, you’d see clear as day it’s a
*License-produced version of the Mowag Piranha”
Doesn’t sound very Canadian.
The first generation was design AND BUILT by Mowag. From then on production rights were sold the Canada.
Edit: New Zealand also operates the LAV III, so again, it can go to Britain
