Black night and Challenger 2 E just aren’t cutting it. The Qatar Leopard 2A7+ could be a good optioin, becoming in line with the German and Italian tech-trees.
Mbombe 57 This is built on the South African 8x8 Mbimbe hull with the 2S38 turret. It would give the British tree a good light-tank and SPAA around BR 10.0- 11.0
AH-64E with actual fire and forget Brimstones. (same for the Eurofighter)
That would mean the leo 2 can being moved into the tree it should have been in from the getgo. just like the M1a1 AIM.
At least brit mains would shut up the players of nations with those tanks when they say its mid because we do better in every vehicle we have thats also in the american or german tree (when its a one to one copy)
I strongly oppose another leo C&P in the game just as i oppose the indian copypaste slop in the british tree. it dilutes the uniqueness of the tree
“After the release of the next major update, some vehicles in the British ground forces tree will be rearranged. These vehicles are marked with a special icon. We’re doing these changes with the aim at improving the structure of the tree, and for the convenience and order when adding various ground vehicles from Great Britain and Commonwealth countries in the future.”
“After the changes, the MBT line after the Vickers Mk.1 will focus on Commonwealth tanks and export MBTs. The right line will focus on light wheeled and tracked AFVs, classified in-game as light tanks”
You don’t understand, according to the yanks we’re closer to the yanks than the Brits so it should have gone to them. Ignoring the whole “The British monarch is also the Monarch of Australia” bit, or the myriad treaties signed with Britain, or the fact that the majority of our actions on the world stage come with the blessings of England.
We either need a commonwealth tree, or our kit with the pommies.
Just put Italy, France, Great Britain and Sweden as Germany’s sub-tech tree then everyone can have their Leopard copy under their flag.
The ‘Mbombe 57’ is modified by Paramount Group and Kazakhstan Engineering (like UralVagonZavod, but in Kazakhstan), it’s not used by South African forces.
If Gaijin gives the Brimstone its full capabilities, this could be a good addition, otherwise just waste of time on copying and pasting for the developers and for research for players.
As an englishman and as someone with a large amount of family in australia (Up the Dons) I see the Australians as fellow countrymen which makes aussie kit being divvied up between multiple nations pain me more.
or the flag in the corner of your wonderful blue ensign.
a commonwealth of nations tree would be incomplete with the country that started it too, the United kingdom. sorry my upside down vegimite brother but youre stuck with us
Like Sopmod said, if the UK is to get Leos, it should get them from Canada.
would also go nicely with the ADATS and CF-188 already in the tree, just needs a LAV-III or 6.0, and you’ve got yourself a good top-tier Canadian line-up.
make the british tree into a CoN tree and limit the C&P slop to only be cool and notable vehicles, sherman variants that are missing for some stupid reason, canadair fighters, australian fighters too.
Copy paste sucks, but Canadian/Australian/Kiwis (Do they even exist? We’ll never know) would be one of the few reasonable points for it. Though simultaneously, we do have some neat kit that isn’t a copy paste if Gaijin bothered to add the interesting stuff.
Even the lesser known commonwealth members could contribute interesting stuff if Gaijin bothered, without taking too much from other trees. Even India (which shouldn’t be in the British tree on account of the fact the tools are at each other’s throats 90% of the time) could contribute interesting articles.
