Agreed. It’s mildly annoying that they are saying it was a difficult decision to make regarding the armament, when they could have just added two airframes, one with spikes and one without.

Regardless, it’s still a fantastic addition and looks amazing, and I’m glad it has Spikes and thrilled that Sea Venom is on the way in the future.

They can’t win with that approach. You would have people saying “why should I pay [however many hundred thousand RP] just to unlock spikes? Gaijin are being so greedy”.

4 spike MITL (which you can’t control trajectory of) that are gonna get shot down putting it at 13.0 is rough.

I really enjoy my rat gameplay with kiowa and APKWS and would love the wildcat to be usable in that role at that 10.3 range

But i can’t wait for this camo and using it alongside badger

Yoooooo, sick. Also fuck yeah, sea venom Ashw!

Trueeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, shame we need to wait for Sea Venom but super happy to see it confirmed.

Now I just want to the ability to use Helis in NE. @F-16D_Barak_II also made a really good suggestion they should add AI Subs to NE as well, for some ASW action in the wildcat

Shame it’s not coming with brimstones on it too, even sal brimstones would be nice as we have no helicopter that can carry them in game

It is in the BVV’s plans

Maybe, and we have no timeline on when that might happen

Not just AI :3

Remember how in silent thunder, subs had to reach a capture point which would launch ICBMs? Could have something similar (Either regular subs or killstreak subs)

Yeah, that could be interesting as well. A true, multi-branch gamemode

Could have destroyers hunting submarines and fighting each other, planes hunting destroyers, helicopters hunting submarines, etc

Yeah, with the right tuning, could even throw players in tanks and maybe even infantry as well

True but I can’t think of a better fit for Helicopters than Nuclear Thunder. You could finally make use of things like the Longbow radar etc in a meaningful way.

Yeah… Here is hoping, but the Q&A response regarding Heli PvE didnt leave me overally hopeful that helis would get something better than GRB.

Arty and SAM could also be a thing

Unfortunately ours don’t have much in the way of independent ASW capability and largely rely or Merlin and ships to find subs for Wildcat to attack.
Might need the potential future Korean one to access dipping sonar

I dont necessarily see the issue in that, if we had some Type 23s in the fleet, that maybe you could even spawn and rearm on, that would assist with that, but could also jsut have the subs not operate that deep, making them visually spottable and attackable, at least initially.

I think the way the RN intends to do it with Wildcat in the long run is using drones to deploy sonobuoys.

They’re already deploying Peregrine (Schiebel Camcopter S-100) for surface detection tasks alongside Wildcat, while simultaneously developing Wildcat’s MUM-T capability for the aircrew to pilot the drones themselves, and evaluating sonobuoys on S-100 and other drones

So if perhaps Gaijin go down the road of adding drone scouting to helis, there may also be an option there.

Yeah, that would be cool. Would also give a reason to ever take the Wildcat over AH-64E in GRB
