Take a deep breath. Tomorrow’s dev stream will also be as vulnerable as usual.

Also moved up to 9.0

Seems they just equip on the existing AS.11 setup (with the outer pair being empty) rather than having the shorter AS.12 stubs and correct launcher.

Should have

But it’s nice to have it finally do something different to the Scout I guess, and doesn’t seem like it requires additional research as they appear to be the default loadout.

Great range too, and 1000mm of pen.

It’s possible that the Rooivalk could be equipped with CRV7’s as stated on the Magellan Aerospace CRV-7 Rotary Wing brochure unknown what year and the 2009 Magellan Aerospace CRV-7 Rotary Wing brochure

However, I have been unable to find any evidence of the rockets actually being fitted to the helicopter. I was curious if anybody else had anymore information to confirm that these rockets were tested and/or fielded on a Rooivalk.

That’s fantastic. Good job

The blurry, grainy pic I posted the other week appears to have the same installation location. It’s nice to confirm it was a pic of Whirlwind carrying SS.11 racks in operational service.

Is AH Mk.1 gonna get Arrowhead in the future? Currently in-game it is equiped with fist gen TADS/PNVS, while the reference picture shows Apache equiped with Arrowhead.

For me AH MK1 should get longbow hellfire along with US 64D

Gaijin stated it is still too soon for 114L, as they would be able to aim thru smoke, and it would be unbalaned. We will see it eventualy. And thye would require proper Longbow radar, so AtG rework first, then 114L

Bad news concerning the Gazelle XW276…

image

In this still from the video provided earlier from the IWM archive (around 1:30 in), we can clearly make out some words on this control panel, which as far as I can tell is not present in normal Gazelle cockpits. I’m sure you can read as well as I can, but these are all pertaining to flares, as in illumination flares. It’s not completely hopeless, since the bottom dial, which says Armament Selection above it, seems to have a setting for ATGM, but that could just be me being hopeful, it’s very hard to make out.

After comparison with the overall size of the helicopter in different parts of that video, it’s safe to say that whatever this is is too short to be any ATGM or AAM I know of - the best case (and it’s a huge reach) is that it roughly matches the shape and length of a MILAN 1 without the warhead at the front. This introduces a host of other problems - namely, how a missile attached by its body is going to be guided by wire, and why a MILAN would be bare anyway - but it’s basically the only hope of a missile making sense. However, with the absence of a reasonable way to guide a missile in the cockpit and no roof-mounted gunner’s sight, I unfortunately conclude that this ended up as a big nothing burger.

I’ll link the video again for convenience, if you guys can see something that I don’t then feel free to let me know.

If I had to guess I would say it’s some kind of simulated weapons load to test how the aircraft handles with the extra weight and drag. Just speculation though.

This option seems most likely. That, or they were being used for fit trials

Are they not maybe big enough to be Hawkswing tubes?
