hello im searching for a 4th line of planes i want a good plane for air battles, and a good plane for cas (something in between) i went for 1st 2nd and 5th line im seeking another one please help me out
If you are specifically looking for something that is half decent dogfighter in ARB whilst also being half decent in GRB as CAS, then probably line 4. Harrier GR3 and Harrier GR7 are all rather solid for both roles, Hawk 200 does okay in both and the Jaguar GR1A is very good for GRB (if/when they fix GBUs)
Line 1 is our multirole aircraft, with some okay options for both gamemodes like the Hunter F6 and for GRB the FGR2 is okay (though woefully underpowered in ARB at the moment) but its not until the Gripen and Typhoons that that line comes into its own.
Line 2 is our interceptors. Usually pure A2A, so a mix of good to okay for ARB, but only really usable as CAP in GRB
Line 3 is naval. Some good nuggets in there for what you are looking for, like the F-18s, but for the most part, you can find better aircraft in other lines. A good chunk though, like the SHars are basically pure A2A
Line 4 is strike aircraft like the Harrier, Hawk, Jag etc. These would usually be the aircraft that do okay in A2A combat but mostly focused on ground
Line 5 is bombers/interdictors. For the most part, limited to no A2A performance, though a few can do okay, like i personally have quite a bit of fun in the Tornado Gr4 in ARB.

Can’t say much about CAS, but for air to air the Sea Hawk is the only good plane there after the 7.3 and 7.7 meteors. Everything else is just ok or bad.

Typhoons, are they good? i heard many diff things about it does it struggle at top tier?
GRB is it common for bullets to pass through tanks like air?
is the venom fb4 good? i just got it
The first typhoon, altrough it has a stellar FM performance, the whole package kinda sucks. The next one is viable but don’t expect to dunk on everything easily.
The best experience in higher tiers for britain is either the 12.3 GR.7, the 13.7 Gripen C or the last typhoon.
12.0 and 13.0 Tornado F3 are ok but if you lose your team, you are cooked.
In A2A (So ARB) they are doing fairly well. They have some pretty major issues, but still rather solid. AESA radar has at long last eliminated their biggest handicap, but they havent fixed any of the other issues.
In A2G (So GRB)… The base Typhoon with M-Scan, is pretty poor, basically you are using GPS GBUs for SEAD and maybe SAL Brimstones for everything else, I gave up and never bothered with it. The new Typhoon does finally get a FnF option in the Form of Spice-250s, but im on the fence how good these really are, but ive not actually unlocked them yet, so I wont comment further than that. Our CAS in this region though is HEAVILY nerfed.
Never really had much of an issue personally, for either mode. But Im also in a region with good internet connection and relatively local to the servers. Ghosting like this is usually a result of bad ping
No, its not horrible to play, but its not good for the BR

7.0+ is jsut terribly balanced at the moment. With aircaft that maybe shouldnt even be able to see each other at practically the same BR. Its a total mess.
The result is good aircraft getting screwed by always facing signficantly better aircraft. I havent touched 7.0-9.0 in years because I just couldnt be bothered with it anymore

It feels similar to the sea hawk in most respects but a bit higher top speed. For some reason, gaijin thinks it deserves 8.7
Yup, Mig-15s and F-86s got a BR drop like a year or so ago (might even be 2) and it just destroyed that BR range. Completely.

what about the javelin mk9 smt its at 8.3 with missiles are they good?
The missiles are good for the BR, but thats it. The plane bleeds a lot of speed and is a massive target. I don’t recommend it to be honest. You would have to be somewhat experienced to get the most of it because position is king to be effective with it while ambushing people. It has a boring playstyle and is very unforgiving, also miserable stock grind.

If you dont expect much from them, the missiles are fine, but otherwise its a bad aircraft imo. Its slow, its guns are really hard to use (30mm ADEN are tricky enough as it is, but being winged mounted is even worse) and the FM just isnt all that good either. I tried quite a bit, but I gave up. Its a combo of terrible compression and being too high a BR. Also, at 8.3, you constantly face Hunters at 9.3 that destroy you in seconds
Planes are the most unbalanced mode in tanks u get a fulluptier but if u got skill u can dominate
in planes u get a full uptier, u cant catch them they got missles better weaponary and u cant do nothing about it doesnt rely on skill just rng
Yup, air has suffered from terrible compression for a while now. I did swap to ASB for a while, as you can control what uptiers you face, but I got burnt out on that gamemode.
in the venom i just get uptier with planes twice as fast as me and with missiles

Aircraft like the Hunter F6 is just as bad as you constantly face all-aspect IR Missiles in uptiers
