which should i reasearch first?
That… is tricky.
Hunter F1 definetly over Javelin Mk9.
But Lightning F6 is okay. Its missiles are okay and its supersonic, meaning played smart, you are very strong for the BR.
Hunter F6 is a solid dogfighter with excellent IR Missiles but does struggle quite a bit with what it faces at its BR and above.
So Lightning F6 vs Hunter F6 really comes down to a matter of playstyle and personal preference.
im dogshit at the game choose the one thats better in ur opinion
The 7.3 meteor mk.3 is the best turning jet on the whole game, it even turns better than every prop it faces (6.3+) because of this, it can handle uptiers quite decently since you don’t rely much on speed. Its hard to aim at speeds because it compresses a lot, but any jet that gets slow with you is easy food.
The sea meteor mk.3 is more balanced, turns less than the previous one but accelerates better, and is faster. Probably easier to play for you because it is more forgiving of mistakes.
Meteor F Mk4 G.41F compresses less at high speed, has an even higher top speed, but turns worse than the previous. Still quite good for 7.7.
The next meteors I would skip.
Sea Hawk handles like a dream, it rolls nicely, accelerates ok, and turns about the same as your average meteor. It is much easier to aim with it than with the meteors that compress at high speeds. This jet will do most things well but its competition will often be faster and outclimb you, so overshooting tactics is bread and butter for the Sea Hawk. When sabres and mig15s try to dogfight you, you can outturn them quite easily. I had a 8 kill game with this jet once
All these can handle themselves uptiers to an extent, but of a sabre player with some skill and patience will still be highly problematic, good thing most are not patient.
Id probably go Hunters out of those 4.
Hunter F1 is better than the Javelin and the SRAAMs on the Hunter F6 can be really fun to use. You can also run a few unguided rockets as make-shift flares. You cant do that in the Lightning.
You also dont have a Rank 7 in Line 2, but you do in Line 1, so if you are looking at maximum grinding effeciency, then that might be the smarter play too.
But I would heavily recommend working on Line-4. The Harrier Gr3 is probably the strongest at that rank and would serve you for quite a while as a grinder. Buc S2 can also be quite a fun ground pounder in line 5.
il just get the meteor at 7.7 then the secondary for 50k rp straight for hunter f1 then go back and go for the 4th line is that a good idea?
Sounds like a plan
i really like the venom the hunter f1 is the same but with better speed so il like it even more
Most likely, never played that much of the Venom, and havent in years so wont comment too much on that
Here’s what id pick up:
Rank5
-Swift (f.1 and f.7). extremely fast for their br, mediocre turn performance, stay fast with this
-Sea hawk. great turn performance, okay energy retention, bad acceleration
Rank6
-Hunter (f.1 and f.6). average speed, good turn performance, good energy retention, the f.6 gets goated missiles
-Lightning. unreasonably strong engines, mediocre turn performance, useable missiles (red tops), this thing actually keeps up with the f104 at low altitude, super-cruise without afterburn, hit and run tactics
-Scimitar. even faster than the swift at the same br, aim9b (just use them wisely), bad turn performance for 8.7, no rudder control past 700kph (you cruise at mach 0.9 or somthn)
-Harrier gr.3. its a harrier with aim9gs, run engines at as high of a % as you can without overheating and you should be good, best to just bring the 60 flares
Rank7
-Sea harrier (early). another harrier, use the 9ls on targets not paying attention, radar kinda useless ngl
-Phantoms (fg1 and fgr2). great against other 12.0 jets, you do not fight 12.0 jets, literally the only option besides the sea harrier if you want to do anything besides shoot pillboxes imo
Side note: Rank 7 is pain. At 12.0 you constantly fight 12.7 and 13.0 jets, and anything that is under 12.3 is rare. The phantoms have an insane amount of thrust, okay missiles for the br, and a useable radar, but they just don’t fight 12.0. I cannot stress this enough, compression is bad at 12.0, if you play the phantoms with the current matchmaker, you WILL have a horrible time. Even more so if you have to play them stock.
