Bring back the old Forum

That’s good, miss the good old reactions from the old forum

We still need the reactions… Not just emojis in posts.

Yes i know, i miss those lol

Maybe they’ll archive the old forum

They have. All posts are readable on there. Except for ones that got moderated for whatever reason.

It will be deleted at a set date, they really love robbing their Community of things. All of it will be gone.

The new forum engine is a just a choice, maybe better, maybe worse.

What I don’t like is that the suggestions were not moved, at least the ones that had gained some traction, and re-posting those is not a given - I tried re-posting some of my suggestions from the old forum and they were just disappeared while they waited in pending.

Seems like a good way to Stalin-out pile of suggestions that were accepted before and community wanted to pass feedback to devs, but someone else didn’t want to pass it to devs. Making separate poll for gathering feedback for 2024 roadmap shows that suggestion section isn’t working properly if they need a separate channel for a roadmap.

If they disssapear in the pending, just copy and paste it again untill it gets aproved.

bro you send more time to waste with all those forgotten suggestions. Also you can post them at the Machnery of war part of the forum.

Those suggestions are mostly about gameplay issues. Of course new vehicle/aircraft suggestions are going through, but issues of the game are not solved through the suggestion section on the forums.

I am getting accustomed to the new forum. However, I oppose the plan to incinerate all the writings that players have accumulated over the years in the old forum.

At the end of World War II, most military documents in Japan were destroyed, and now we face difficulties in recreating Japanese weapons in our games. A similar situation is looming over the WT Forum.

I don’t understand how reading white letters against a dark background is hard. I can definitely understand if your font color never inverted though.

Using dark mode is helpful in that it’s easier on the eyes than a stark, bright white screen. However, using a dark screen requires your pupils to dilate which can make it harder to focus on the screen.
Why does eye dilation make it harder to see? When your pupils dilate, your vision becomes less clear. When your pupils constrict under bright light, your vision sharpens. Just like a camera, a smaller aperture provides greater depth of focus. For this reason, it may be more difficult for some people to clearly see screen details in dark mode.

There is absolutely no reason to use dark mode on PC, since there is no battery you can save and if you do little search on internet you will learn that its not saving your eyes either since majority of eye problems caused by displays comes from different causes than brightness of your screen.

Dark + old forum ftw.

I don’t want back the bright…

The reason is because I LIKE and PREFER dark mode. As a software engineer I stare at screens all day. I do not want a bright ass screen it ends up giving me headaches and migraines.

That being said, it’s not hard to make it into a toggle. It’s actually really easy. Especially in most modern frameworks.

There is a toggle on this forum, it is the sun/moon right beside the play button and the search button.
