Headaches are not caused by bright screen. You can also lower the bright ass screen to just bright or even lower.

lower nit count = less eye strain. Less eye strain = less chance of headaches, lessened trigger response for migraines, so on.

Except it cause your pupils to dilate and make it harder to focus on text which you try to do anyway and cause strain. You didnt fixed the problem you just traded it for other one.
And as I said before, majority of problems caused by screens are not caused by light or dark mode but by your eyes focusing on same distance for long period of times which they apparently dont like.

She and Sebastiaan Mathôt dictated that the acuity increase in pupillary constriction is negligent, though the effects of eye-strain due to the constriction do not outweigh the loss of visual acuity.
Strain is not caused by a stagnant focus of your eyes. Strain is caused by prolonged constriction, as well as a lack of visual stimulus. Either way, reading will eventually lead to strain… Darker backdrops simply lessen the amount imposed on you.

I cannot actually believe i’ve just found a thread where people are genuinely arguing biology.
In War Thunder of all places. Jesus. Let people use dark mode if they want to, I find it easier on the eyes but I appreciate people might prefer the light.

Not to mention bright white screens are had to look at. Snow blindness is an excellent example of why looking at a bright white background is not fun.

Agree. I rarely interact here anymore. Granted, Gaijin probably just interested to improve their control over speech, rather than actually have a vibrant community.
